Overview

TalkPilot is a conversation assistant that offers private live prompts and turns calls into structured follow-up. It is best suited to people who want coaching without adding a bot to the meeting; its free tier is tightly capped, while transcript retention and U.S.-only processing deserve consideration before organizational use.

Key features

Live coaching and follow-up

TalkPilot listens on the user's device and suggests what to say during a call or meeting, then generates notes, summaries, and action items. It also supports transcription, objection detection, next-step extraction, coaching scorecards, and CRM synchronization. That combination can help users who need both in-conversation guidance and a record of what to do next. It does not join a meeting as a participant, a practical fit for users who want to avoid another attendee, but not for teams seeking a meeting-bot workflow.

Preparation and integrations

Google Calendar connectivity can bring upcoming events into preparation. For customer-care workflows, compatible platforms or tools include Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, RingCentral, Five9, Genesys, Aircall, Talkdesk, Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Salesforce Service Cloud, HubSpot, and ServiceNow. The breadth may suit teams already working across these services, though the product's value depends on which of them matter to a particular workflow.

Privacy and security

TalkPilot says it does not record or store audio; users must start each session and can stop it at any time. It says data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher and at rest with AES-256, and that audio, transcripts, and client information are not used to train AI models. Transcript bodies are retained for 365 days by default, with organization-level configuration. All processing takes place in the United States, with no EU data residency option. That may work for organizations comfortable with U.S. processing and configurable retention, but is a poor fit where EU residency is required or default transcript retention is too long.

Pricing

The freemium lineup starts with Free at 0.00 USD per free: five conversations per month, each up to 30 minutes, five practice runs per month, and three scenarios. It is suitable for occasional use or evaluating the workflow, but the conversation cap makes it a limited choice for regular work.

Pro costs 20.00 USD per month, billed monthly. It adds unlimited conversations up to two hours each, earbud coaching, a teleprompter, document context, and full Deep Dive and practice. This is the clearest fit for an individual who needs ongoing live coaching, though each conversation still has a two-hour ceiling.

Teams costs 32.00 USD per year, billed annually, or $40 billed monthly. It requires at least two seats and adds a shared playbook and knowledge base, scorecards and a team dashboard, plus admin, manager, and member roles. The annual term is the lower stated price, while the monthly option avoids an annual billing commitment; the seat minimum makes it unsuitable for a solo buyer.

Enterprise is for more than 20 users with custom pricing. It is the relevant tier for larger deployments, but buyers should weigh its fit and cost directly with TalkPilot.

Platforms

TalkPilot supports Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows, giving individuals and teams across those device platforms a way to use its on-device workflow. It is headquartered in Newark, Delaware, USA.

Who it's for

The maker presents TalkPilot for sales, customer care, contact centers, real estate, job interviews, and everyday conversations. Its mix of live prompts and structured follow-up is most persuasive for people who benefit from coaching during a conversation and organized next steps afterward. Teams may value shared resources and scorecards; users with strict EU data residency needs should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pro: Live prompts plus notes, summaries, and action items support both the conversation and follow-through.
Pro: It does not join meetings as a participant, and says it does not store audio or use customer material to train AI models.
Pro: Teams includes shared playbooks, scorecards, a dashboard, and role-based access.
Con: Free permits only five conversations monthly, each no longer than 30 minutes.
Con: Transcript bodies default to 365-day retention, and processing is U.S.-only with no EU residency option.
Con: Teams requires two seats, while Enterprise is aimed at organizations with more than 20 users.

Verdict

TalkPilot is a strong fit for individuals and teams who want discreet, device-based coaching alongside structured follow-up, especially when avoiding a meeting bot matters. Its free tier offers a low-commitment starting point, and paid plans expand use and team features. Look elsewhere if EU data residency is mandatory, or if the transcript retention default and plan limits do not suit your organization's requirements.
