Overview

Customers can discover and book appointments through a public Salonify page that displays real-time availability, with automatic confirmations and reminders. For the business, the platform brings bookings together with a calendar, staff scheduling, client records, POS, invoicing and marketing. That breadth can reduce the need to manage these functions separately, though it also makes plan fit important as a salon grows.

Salonify is headquartered in Luxembourg and serves salons across Europe. It supports 12 languages and multiple currencies, which suits businesses serving a varied clientele. Its stated target users include hair salons, barbershops, nail and beauty studios, spas, massage providers and tattoo businesses.

Key features

Appointments and salon operations

The booking page lets clients reserve available times without relying solely on staff to coordinate appointments. The management tools cover staff roles and schedules, service pricing, client records, reviews and analytics. These are useful operational basics, but team capacity is explicitly tiered: Starter caps at two staff, Pro at ten, while Enterprise allows unlimited staff and multiple locations.

Payments and promotion

Salonify POS supports card, cash and Apple Pay, and is described as syncing with the calendar, inventory and analytics. Marketing tools include loyalty stamp cards, gift cards, coupons, sponsored placement and an online shop, giving salons several ways to encourage repeat business and promote services. Commission rules, retail split rules, tip tracking, compensation reports and payroll export also speak to the needs of businesses managing staff pay and sales attribution.

Integrations, security and apps

Google Calendar sync, Apple Calendar through .ics, webhook events and public REST API access offer routes to connect Salonify with scheduling and other systems; some integrations are marked as coming soon. Salonify describes the platform as GDPR compliant and lists OAuth and two-factor authentication. Customers have native iOS and Android apps, but the business app is marked as coming soon. That gap matters to owners or staff who expect a dedicated mobile tool for daily administration.

Pricing

Salonify uses a freemium model, with a free Starter plan described as free forever and a 14-day free trial for Pro. The price points are 0.00 EUR per free for Starter, 5900.00 EUR per month billed monthly for Pro, and 9900.00 EUR per month billed monthly for Enterprise.

Plan	Price and inclusions	Best fit
Starter	0.00 EUR per free, billed forever; up to 2 staff, public business profile, online booking page, email reminders and basic analytics.	A solo operator or very small team that needs booking and basic visibility without a subscription.
Pro	5900.00 EUR per month, billed monthly; up to 10 staff, advanced analytics, loyalty program, gift cards, SMS reminders and Google Calendar sync.	A growing salon that needs the added marketing and scheduling features and remains within the ten-staff cap.
Enterprise	9900.00 EUR per month, billed monthly; unlimited staff, multiple locations, accounting, white-label option, priority support and onboarding.	A larger or multi-location business that needs room to grow and the added administration and support.

Starter gives up SMS reminders, Google Calendar sync, loyalty features and advanced analytics, and its two-person limit rules it out for larger teams. Pro adds those capabilities but still caps staffing at ten and does not include Enterprise's multiple-location support, accounting or white-label option. Enterprise is the only tier with unlimited staff and multiple locations. The Pro trial lasts 14 days; Starter is free indefinitely.

Platforms

Salonify supports Android, iOS, web and API. The customer-facing native mobile apps make booking accessible on phones, while the business app's coming-soon status may be a drawback for teams that want mobile salon administration. Salonify lists email support and live chat Monday through Friday, 9:00–18:00 CET; email replies typically arrive within 24 hours.

Who it's for

Salonify is a credible fit for European salons and wellness providers that want booking, POS, client management and promotion under one roof, particularly businesses operating across languages or currencies. A small shop can start on Starter, while teams that need SMS reminders or loyalty features must consider Pro. Businesses with more than ten staff or multiple locations need Enterprise. It is less compelling for operators who require a ready-to-use business mobile app now.

Pros and cons

Pros: The free-forever Starter plan includes an online booking page and basic analytics, making it possible for a two-person business to start without a paid plan.
Pros: POS, marketing, commission and payroll-related tools extend the platform beyond appointment scheduling.
Pros: Support for 12 languages and multiple currencies suits salons serving diverse European clientele.
Cons: Starter's two-staff cap and Pro's ten-staff cap make plan capacity a constraint as teams expand.
Cons: The business app is still coming soon, limiting the appeal for mobile-first salon operations.
Cons: The monthly Pro and Enterprise prices are a substantial step up from the free Starter tier, so the extra capacity and tools need to justify the spend.

Alternatives

Consider SalonApp if its free plan's 15-client, 20-appointment-per-month and one-staff caps better suit a very small operation, or if USD pricing is preferable. Salonist is another freemium option; its free Marketplace Listing includes 50 appointments per month, online booking, calendar and scheduling, and staff shift management. Choose DaySmart Salon if you want a paid option with a $29.00 USD per month Basic plan for one user and online booking. GlossGenius may suit a business seeking a paid Standard plan at $28.00 USD per month with a custom booking website and client notifications. LABÉAU is an alternative with a 12-month Silver plan at 174.92 MYR per month that includes online bookings and WhatsApp reminders. Orbis Salon has a Lite plan at 4.99 GBP per month, but its stated limits include one staff member, one location and 30 bookings a month. PandaCue is another paid alternative with a free trial. For businesses comparing staff compensation workflows, salon commission management software is a relevant category to explore. SalesVu offers a paid Essentials plan priced at 180.00 USD per month effective when paid annually, with five employees included per location.

Verdict

Salonify is best for European salons that want appointments, POS, marketing and staff administration in one service, and can match their needs to its tiered staffing limits. The free Starter plan is a practical entry point for a tiny team, while multi-location operators gain a broader feature set with Enterprise. Look elsewhere if a ready business mobile app is essential or if the paid plan prices outweigh the value of the added capacity and tools for your salon.
