Overview

Booking pages, two-way calendar sync, reminders, payment collection, and team scheduling sit alongside CRM and automation tools. iPhone, iPad, and Android apps sync bookings, contacts, and event types with the web app. The maker says more than 5,000 teams across 40+ countries use SchedulingKit.

ZTABS, founded in 2022 and based in Houston, Texas, makes the platform. Its audience ranges from solo professionals to businesses in fields including therapy, fitness, salons, and law. That breadth is useful for general appointment operations, but it does not make SchedulingKit a specialist system for every industry.

Key features

Booking and calendars: Public booking pages support group bookings and automated reminders. Two-way calendar synchronization works with Google, Outlook, iCloud, Apple, and Exchange, reducing the need to keep separate calendars aligned manually.
Team scheduling: Round-robin assignment, collective availability, and multi-staff scheduling cover common ways to distribute appointments. Paid plans bill per active team member across all workspaces, so adding staff affects the subscription even when they work in different businesses.
Payments and integrations: Users can collect payments, deposits, and invoices, with automated follow-ups. Stripe and PayPal are supported; the homepage also names Apple Pay and Google Pay. Video links can be generated for Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Webex. Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, and more than 1,000 apps through Zapier broaden its connections.
Automation and development: AI offerings include a receptionist, voice agent, chatbot, AI agents, CRM, and scheduling. A REST API, real-time webhooks, and an embeddable JavaScript booking widget give teams options for custom integrations.
Security and access: Data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.3. Role-based access, multi-factor authentication, audit logging, and GDPR tools support privacy and administration needs. Public booking pages meet the maker's stated WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standard. SchedulingKit is not HIPAA-compliant and does not provide a Business Associate Agreement, ruling it out for workflows that require either.

Pricing

SchedulingKit is freemium, with a 14-day trial of paid service. After the trial, an account moves to Free unless the user subscribes. Users can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade at any time.

Free: $0.00 USD per free, forever. It allows one team member, one event type, 50 bookings per month, one calendar connection, and one workspace. That is enough to try basic solo scheduling, but the booking ceiling and single event type constrain regular or varied appointment work.
Standard: $10.00 USD per month, billed annually, or $12/seat/month monthly. Aimed at solo professionals, it adds unlimited event types and bookings, six calendar connections, 100 SMS credits monthly, and unlimited workspaces/businesses. The annual price is lower, but requires annual billing.
Pro: $16.00 USD per month, billed annually, or $20/seat/month monthly. It adds unlimited calendar connections and 250 SMS credits monthly, fitting growing businesses that need more calendar links and reminders.
Business: $30.00 USD per month, billed annually, or $36/seat/month monthly. With 500 SMS credits monthly and priority support, it targets larger teams; active-member billing means costs scale with staff.
Enterprise: Custom pricing. It includes unlimited SMS credits, dedicated support, custom integrations, SLA guarantees, and volume discounts for large organizations.

Platforms

SchedulingKit is available on web, Android, and iOS, and provides an API for integrations. The mobile apps sync core scheduling information with the web app, while the API and webhooks support custom development.

Who it's for

Solo professionals who need a booking page and a modest calendar setup can start on Free, provided 50 monthly bookings and one event type are enough. Standard is the more practical fit once bookings grow or several businesses need to be managed from one login. Pro and Business make more sense for teams that need broader calendar coverage, more SMS credits, and support at scale. Organizations handling protected health information should choose a HIPAA-compliant service instead.

Pros and cons

Pro: Booking, two-way sync, payments, team assignment, and video integrations cover much of the appointment workflow in one platform.
Pro: Unlimited workspaces on Standard and above can help users manage multiple businesses without separate logins.
Pro: API, webhooks, and Zapier connections provide paths to connect scheduling with other systems.
Con: Free is limited to one member, one event type, 50 monthly bookings, and one calendar connection, so it is a narrow long-term option.
Con: Paid seats are charged per active team member across workspaces, which can increase costs as a business adds staff.
Con: The lack of HIPAA compliance and a Business Associate Agreement makes it unsuitable for workflows that require those protections.

Tutorbase offers a free core plan with all features and no feature restrictions, charging a 1% fee when invoicing through the system. Verdict

SchedulingKit is a strong fit for solo professionals and growing teams that want bookings, calendar coordination, payment collection, and team scheduling together. Its integration range and multiple-workspace support are compelling reasons to choose it; per-member charges, the free tier's low ceilings, and the absence of HIPAA compliance are clear reasons to look elsewhere when those limits matter.
