Overview

Vtiger CRM is a customer relationship platform that brings sales, marketing, and support work together around shared customer records. It suits businesses that need those teams to coordinate, particularly small teams weighing a free start against room to grow. Its breadth is appealing, but email and record caps make plan selection important.

Key features

Shared customer data and interactions give sales, marketing, and support teams a common view of customer activity. That is useful when several teams serve the same accounts; organizations seeking separate, narrowly focused tools may not need that breadth.

The feature set spans visual sales pipelines, lead scoring, sales forecasting, email synchronization, marketing automation, email marketing, workflow automation, and AI features. Together, these cover much of the work from tracking prospects to coordinating outreach and recurring processes, though the plan details show that quotas can constrain use.

Vtiger connects with more than 500 apps, including Mailchimp, Microsoft Outlook, Google, QuickBooks, Xero, and Zapier. That range can help teams connect CRM work with tools they already use. The platform is built around an open-source core, and Vtiger states that it complies with GDPR, ISO, and other standards. It also offers 24x7 live chat support.

Android and iOS apps extend access beyond desktop use. Plans can be upgraded or downgraded at any point, and Booster Packs can raise feature limits without a plan upgrade. Standard and Single App licenses are offered to optimize subscription costs; annual billing can save up to 34%, while local taxes are charged in addition to listed prices.

Pricing

The free One Pilot plan is billed forever at $0.00 USD per free. It allows up to 10 users and 3,000 records, with 1,000 emails per month and 3 GB of storage. That is a meaningful way for a small group to start, but the record and email ceilings can become limiting as customer data and outreach grow.

The credit-card-free trial provides access to core features, giving prospective users a way to evaluate the platform before committing.

One Growth: $12.00 USD per month, billed annually, per user. It supports 15 users and 100,000 records, with 5,000 emails per month or 500 per user. This is the lowest-priced paid tier and a logical fit for a growing team that can work within those caps.
One Professional: $30.00 USD per month, billed annually, per user. It allows unlimited users and records and includes 20,000 emails per month or 2,000 per user. The higher price buys substantial headroom for larger teams, though email allowances still apply.
One Enterprise: $42.00 USD per month, billed annually, per user, with unlimited users and records. It suits organizations that need those scale limits removed; the supplied plan details do not give an email quota.
One AI: $50.00 USD per month, billed annually, per user, also with unlimited users and records. It is the highest-priced listed tier, and its name signals an AI-focused option; no further plan-specific inclusions are given.

All paid prices are per user and billed annually, so the entry price is not a month-to-month rate. Local taxes are extra. Booster Packs offer an alternative to moving up a plan when the issue is a feature limit.

Platforms

Vtiger provides mobile applications for Android and iOS. These support teams that need CRM access on those platforms, while no other platform availability is stated here.

Who it's for

Vtiger is best suited to businesses that want sales, marketing, and support teams working from shared customer context, with sales and automation tools in the same platform. Its free tier can serve a small group testing that approach, and the paid tiers provide higher record and user capacity. Teams with email-heavy workflows should compare their expected sending volume with the plan quotas before choosing.

Pros and cons

Pro: Shared customer data across sales, marketing, and support can reduce the friction of teams working in separate systems.
Pro: More than 500 integrations, including widely used business tools, give teams options for connecting existing services.
Pro: The free plan supports up to 10 users, making it usable by a small team rather than just an individual.
Con: The free plan caps records at 3,000, email at 1,000 per month, and storage at 3 GB, which limits its usefulness as activity accumulates.
Con: Paid plans are quoted per user with annual billing, and local taxes add to the listed prices.
Con: Growth and Professional retain monthly email quotas, so teams with high sending needs must account for them.

Alternatives

1CRM is worth considering for readers who want a CRM with a free plan and trial and need a listed Startup cloud option capped at three users, 300 accounts, and 750 targets or leads; its listed price is $13.00 USD per user/month billed annually.

Freshdesk may be a better fit for teams focused on customer service: it has a free program for one or two agents for six months and a Growth plan at $19.00 USD per month billed annually.

Intercom is an alternative for teams seeking its Essential plan, which includes an AI agent, Messenger, a shared inbox and ticketing system, and pre-built reports, at $19.00 USD per month billed annually per seat.

Pega CRM is another paid CRM option with a free trial.

eGain Customer Engagement Hub is a paid option with Android, iOS, web, and API platforms.

Kustomer is a paid alternative whose listed Ultimate plan is priced through a sales conversation and specifies large custom-object and API limits.

YundaDesk offers a free web-based plan with unlimited agents, channels, conversations, and messages, plus 1,000 AI credits per month; it is a choice to consider when those service-workload limits matter more than Vtiger's broader CRM scope.

LeadSquared is a paid alternative with no free plan and a free trial.

Verdict

Choose Vtiger if sales, marketing, and support need shared customer records and you value a broad set of sales, marketing, and workflow tools with extensive integrations. Its free tier is a practical starting point, but check record, storage, and email limits before relying on it long term; look elsewhere if annual per-user pricing or those quotas do not fit your team.
