Overview

Shipday is a delivery operations platform for businesses managing orders across their own drivers and outside delivery services. It will suit teams that need dispatchers, drivers, and customers to stay connected through the delivery process. Its mix of a free tier and paid plans gives small operations room to start, while order charges and user caps make growth costs worth weighing early.

Key features

Dispatch management, live tracking, and customer notifications cover the basic coordination loop from assigning an order to keeping its recipient informed. Drivers use a mobile app for order information, routes, updates, chat, and proof of delivery by photo or signature. This combination is useful for businesses that need a record of completion as well as visibility during delivery; it is more than a route planner, but teams choosing only for route planning may not need the broader toolkit.

Shipday supports in-house drivers alongside built-in access to third-party delivery services, and it has more than 100 integrated partners. That flexibility can help businesses blend their own delivery capacity with outside services. The platform also includes AI features for review automation, coaching, calls, dispatch, reports, and customer chat. These functions broaden its potential role in an operation, but the low entry price alone should not be read as access to every capability.

API and webhook access is included with Professional, making that plan the relevant choice for teams that need those integration paths. Shipday is available on web, phone, and tablet, while its driver app gives delivery staff a mobile workspace. Support is available by phone, email, online chat, and in-app chat; phone support runs 9 am to 6 pm PST, Monday through Saturday.

Pricing

Basic is free forever and supports up to 300 orders per month, 10 driver accounts, and one dispatch account. It is a sensible starting point for a small operation within those caps, but the single dispatch account and order ceiling leave little room for a growing team. The full platform can also be tried free for 14 days without a credit card.

Professional Lite costs $19.00 USD per month and includes 300 orders, then charges $0.04 per additional order. It allows 15 driver accounts, five dispatch/staff accounts, and five admin users, with no order limit. That makes it a lower-cost step up for teams that need more dispatch access than Basic allows, though high volume adds a recurring per-order charge.

Professional costs $39.00 USD per month, includes 300 orders plus $0.04 per additional order, and permits unlimited driver accounts and up to five users. It is the clearest fit when unlimited driver capacity and API and webhook access matter, but the five-user cap can constrain broader staff participation.

Branded Premium is $39.00 USD per month, with 300 orders included, $0.04 per additional order, and up to 15 users. Its larger user allowance may suit a team that needs more people in the platform than Professional permits; order charges still apply beyond the included amount.

Elite costs $99.00 USD per month and is capped at 300 orders per month, with $0.20 per additional order. That higher overage rate makes it important to check expected volume before choosing it. Business AI costs $349.00 USD per month and includes 1,000 orders, then charges $0.25 per additional order. It is the more relevant tier for an operation considering Shipday's AI-oriented offering, but additional volume carries a higher per-order charge than the lower tiers.

Enterprise starts at $2,499.00 USD per month and is aimed at multi-location delivery operations, with enterprise security, the full AI Agents suite, and a dedicated team. It is a substantial step up from the self-serve tiers, best considered by organizations needing that enterprise scope rather than a smaller delivery team.

Platforms

Shipday is available on web, phone, and tablet, with API access as a platform capability. Drivers use a mobile app for delivery work. That spread supports office coordination and mobile execution, though API and webhook access is specifically part of Professional.

Who it's for

Shipday is a strong candidate for restaurants and other delivery businesses coordinating in-house drivers, third-party services, or a mix of both. Small operators can start within Basic's order and account limits, while teams needing more users, drivers, or integration access can move to paid tiers. A business with high order volume should compare expected overages with its budget; an operation needing broad staff access should also distinguish between Professional's five-user cap and Branded Premium's 15-user allowance.

Pros and cons

Pros: One workflow connects dispatch, live tracking, notifications, and photo or signature proof of delivery, useful when several parties need visibility.
Pros: Support for both in-house and third-party delivery services, plus more than 100 integrated partners, gives operators options for fulfillment.
Pros: A free tier and a 14-day trial without a credit card lower the barrier to evaluating the platform.
Cons: Basic is limited to 300 monthly orders, 10 drivers, and one dispatch account, which can quickly become restrictive for expanding teams.
Cons: Several paid plans charge per order above their included quota, and the overage rates vary materially by plan.
Cons: User allowances differ sharply across plans, and Professional's API and webhook access comes with a five-user cap.

Alternatives

For a broader shortlist, compare Shipday with Last-Mile Delivery Software, Delivery Management Software, Restaurant Delivery Management Software, Dispatch Software, and Route Optimization Software.

Fleetbase is worth considering if self-hosting or unlimited orders and users on its $29.00 USD-per-month Fleetbase Cloud plan matters more than Shipday's delivery-specific combination of tracking and proof of delivery. Traky is another freemium option, with a $9.99-per-month Plan Básico and apps across Android, iOS, macOS, and web. Routal may suit teams focused on vehicle-based planning: its Light Plan is €83.00 per month with annual billing and includes four vehicles, with extra vehicles priced at €16 each. Kosmo offers stop-based tiers, including 1,000 stops for $199.00 USD per month on Launch and 3,000 for $499.00 USD per month on Grow.

Last Mile Software is a paid alternative with a $44.00 USD-per-month tier for 100 jobs and unlimited drivers. DeliveryLinx is a paid option whose Starter plan costs $269.00 USD per month billed annually and includes one territory, up to 10 subcontractors, and unlimited stops, uploads, and users. Onfleet is a paid alternative starting at $619.00 USD per month for 2,500 tasks, unlimited users, basic route optimization, and API and webhook access. IKOMSOFT is another paid alternative, with pricing quoted by its sales team.

Verdict

Choose Shipday if your business needs delivery coordination that connects dispatch, drivers, and recipients, and you want to start small before expanding into paid capacity. Its strongest case is the combination of live visibility, delivery proof, and support for both in-house and third-party fulfillment. Look elsewhere if your volume makes per-order overages unattractive, if you need more staff seats than a chosen plan allows, or if your operation needs a different pricing or deployment model.
