Overview

Sociocs combines SMS, MMS, and WhatsApp campaigns with two-way messaging in a shared team inbox. Campaigns can target contact lists and segments, run on a schedule or recur, handle opt-outs, and report delivery. For customer conversations, teams can assign threads, use reply templates, add internal notes, set follow-up reminders, and coordinate through automations and team presence.

The inbox can also bring together WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Google Reviews, Web Chat, and Online Forms. Connecting a customer-controlled Twilio, Telnyx, or SignalHouse account is a notable distinction: Sociocs says customers then pay provider rates without per-message markups. That can suit businesses comfortable managing a carrier account, while the overall channel mix is less compelling if all you need is straightforward texting.

Key features

Campaigns and conversations

Segmentation and recurring sends help teams manage repeat outreach, while opt-out handling and delivery reporting support campaign administration. Two-way messaging, inbound keywords, and automated sequences extend the product beyond one-way promotions. The shared inbox’s assignments, notes, reminders, and templates are useful for coordinating replies; the value of those tools depends on having enough user seats in the chosen plan.

Connected workflows, translation, and safeguards

Integrations include ActiveCampaign, Bubble, Customer.io, Keap, Webflow, WordPress, and Zapier. The API can start messages from an existing platform, and webhooks can forward incoming messages elsewhere, making Sociocs a better fit for connected workflows than a standalone campaign tool. Automatic chat translation is available in more than 100 languages during conversations and bulk messaging, which may help teams serving multilingual customers.

Sociocs states that it complies with HIPAA and maintains administrative, physical, and technical safeguards for protected health information, while placing responsibility for customers’ own HIPAA compliance on those customers. Its privacy policy describes industry-standard security techniques and recognizes that internet security cannot be perfect. Premium includes premium onboarding and high-priority support; the WordPress integration page also says technical experts can assist with that integration.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and is billed Free forever. It includes two channels, one user, 1,000 messages per month, and unlimited templates. It is a sensible way for an individual to start, but the single seat prevents a team from sharing the inbox, and the channel and message caps constrain growth.

Standard costs 24.00 USD per month, billed monthly. It includes two channels, two users, and 2,000 messages per month; additional messages cost $1 per 1,000 messages. This is the practical entry point for a small team, though it remains capped at two channels and the message allowance can become a cost consideration as campaign volume rises.

Premium costs 149.00 USD per month, billed monthly, for unlimited channels, 10 users, and 50,000 messages per month. Additional messages cost $1 per 1,000 messages. It suits businesses that need a broad channel mix, more seats, and substantially more volume, as well as premium onboarding and high-priority support. Custom pricing is for businesses needing users and included messages tailored to their monthly commitment; it offers unlimited channels and discounted additional-message rates.

Sociocs offers a 7-day trial. Although its pricing note gives a paid starting point of $12/user/mo, the published Standard plan is $24.00 USD per month for two users. Review the plan’s seat and message caps against expected usage before committing.

Platforms

Sociocs is available on Android, iOS, and the web, and provides an API for integrations and custom workflows.

Who it's for

The product is presented for dental, medical, and veterinary clinics, online businesses, small and medium businesses, fitness studios, and hotels and motels. It is most suited to organizations that need shared handling of customer messages alongside campaigns, especially when they expect to use multiple channels or connect texting to other platforms. A solo user exploring the service can start free; teams should consider Standard or above for shared access.

Pros and cons

Pros

Campaign and two-way inbox features cover both outbound outreach and follow-up conversations, reducing the need to split those workflows.
Customer-controlled carrier accounts are intended to avoid per-message markups, which may suit businesses that want to pay provider rates directly.
Multiple social, web, review, and messaging channels, plus integrations, API access, and webhooks, support connected customer workflows.
More than 100 languages of automatic translation can help teams communicate across language barriers.

Cons

The free plan has just one user, so it does not support a team sharing conversations.
Standard is limited to two channels and 2,000 included monthly messages, which can make it restrictive for businesses expanding their channel mix or campaign volume.
Premium’s 149.00 USD monthly price is a substantial step up from Standard, even though it raises the included volume to 50,000 messages and seats to 10.
Businesses remain responsible for their own HIPAA compliance despite Sociocs’ stated safeguards and compliance.

Alternatives

Choose Text Request if its paid plans, including an Enterprise plan at 575.00 USD per month with 20,000 included texts and 10 dashboards, better match your budget and team setup.

Avochato is worth considering if a usage-based plan with no platform fee and a stated $0.08 per SMS segment in the United States and Canada better fits your needs.

Consider MessageDesk if its Team plan at 29.00 USD per year, billed per user per month on an annual contract with a three-user minimum, suits your commitment and seat requirements.

Sinch Engage is another paid option, with plan tiers for different SMS volumes and user counts.

Choose Heymarket if its Standard plan at $49 per user per month, billed annually, and minimum two-user setup better fit your team.

Salesmsg may suit teams that prefer a paid plan beginning with one seat and one number, with additional seats and numbers priced separately.

Consider SMS-Magic if its SMS Automation plan, priced at 582.00 INR per month, matches your requirements.

Nextiva is an alternative if you want a broader communications platform with business SMS alongside voice, video meetings, and screen sharing.

Verdict

Sociocs is a strong choice for a small or midsize business that wants campaigns and customer conversations in one place, particularly when multi-channel messaging, integrations, or customer-controlled carrier accounts matter. Look elsewhere if you need a generous free team plan or want to avoid managing carrier accounts; the one-user free cap and the jump to Premium are meaningful constraints.
