Overview

Styrki brings strength training, running and coaching into one iPhone app. Its AI recalculates weights, sets and reps each session using training and recovery feedback, making it more relevant to people who want their programming to adjust than to those seeking only a manual log. GPS runs, heart-rate tracking and Norwegian 4×4 intervals give running a substantive place alongside lifting.

Automatic detection of more than 20 personal-best types across lifting and running, plus a Styrki Score, community feed and leaderboards, provide several ways to follow progress. The broad exercise library is another practical strength: it includes more than 600 exercises with video demonstrations, instructions and muscle-targeting guides.

Key features

Adaptive workouts and coach memory

Session-by-session changes to weights, sets and reps can reduce the work of adjusting a plan manually. Paid Styrki AI adds unlimited AI workout generation and coach chat, adaptive learning, program adherence and periodization; Free restricts AI use to three workouts and five coach messages, so frequent users are likely to outgrow it. The coach can recall earlier text chats and live voice sessions, while deleting a conversation also deletes its stored memory.

Running and wearables

GPS, heart-rate tracking and Norwegian 4×4 intervals support users who want runs in the same training routine as strength sessions. Two-way Apple Health, Apple Watch, Strava, Polar and Oura integrations connect the app with several common tracking services. Apple Watch can start runs and stream live heart rate; Live Activities show pace and rest timers, and widgets display the Styrki Score and next session. These integrations make Styrki more useful to users already invested in those devices and services, but do not change its iOS-only platform limit.

Privacy and data controls

Styrki says it does not sell personal information or use HealthKit, Motion/Fitness, location, microphone, Bluetooth or Photos data for advertising or marketing. Relevant training context, prompts, microphone audio and transcripts may nonetheless go to third-party AI providers to produce requested coaching or workout results. Users can request access, correction, deletion or a portable copy of personal data, and delete their account in settings. Styrki describes technical and organizational safeguards but does not guarantee absolute security.

Pricing

Styrki is freemium, with a free plan and a 7-day trial on both paid plans. Free is free and includes unlimited manual workout logging, full personal-best tracking, GPS runs, cardio and heart rate, Styrki Score, community feed and leaderboards, plus three AI workouts and five coach messages. It is a capable logging and tracking option, but the AI caps make it a limited choice for anyone expecting regular generated programming or coaching.

Styrki AI costs 59.99 USD per year, billed annually ($59.99), with a stated 50% saving. It includes everything in Free, removes the AI workout-generation and coach-chat limits, and adds adaptive learning, AI program adherence and periodization, an AI avatar and video coaching. This is the more suitable paid tier for people who want the app’s ongoing AI programming without voice sessions.

Styrki AI Voice costs 41.67 USD per year, billed annually ($499.99), with a 7-day free trial and a stated 30% saving. It includes everything in Styrki AI, plus a live voice coach, spoken cues, RPE prompts and form tips, hands-free coaching, spoken Max Test coaching and voice sessions saved to coach memory. The listed annual billing amount is substantially higher than Styrki AI, so it makes sense chiefly for users who will regularly use voice-led sessions. The free plan is the cheaper way to retain manual logging, runs and progress tracking, but it does not provide unlimited AI coaching.

Platforms

Styrki is available on iOS. Its Apple Watch features and Apple Health integration reinforce that fit, but people who need Android, web or desktop access should look elsewhere.

Who it's for

Styrki is best for iPhone users who lift and run, want sessions adjusted to training and recovery, and value wearable connections. It is less compelling for people who only need basic workout logging, rely on non-iOS platforms, or do not want relevant coaching data and audio to be shared with third-party AI providers.

Pros and cons

Pro: Adaptive weights, sets and reps can make strength programming responsive to training and recovery feedback.
Pro: Strength tools, GPS running, heart-rate tracking and 20-plus record types cover multiple parts of a mixed routine.
Pro: More than 600 guided exercises and integrations with Apple Health, Apple Watch, Strava, Polar and Oura add useful reference and tracking options.
Con: Free limits AI use to three workouts and five coach messages, restricting regular coaching without a paid plan.
Con: Styrki is iOS-only, excluding users who need Android or web access.
Con: Requested AI coaching may involve sending training context, prompts, microphone audio and transcripts to third-party providers.

Alternatives

AI Fitness Apps is a useful place to compare more options. Choose Freeletics if Android or web access matters and a limited selection of free workouts, exercises, runs and audio sessions is sufficient. TrainAsONE is another freemium option across Android, iOS and web, with monthly and yearly subscriptions and advanced post-activity analysis; consider it if that broader platform support and analysis better suit your needs.

Core Direction offers Android and iOS access, a free plan and a $9.99/month premium tier with AI wearable tracking, an AI body scan and 3D avatar, and an AI personal trainer. Adapt Fitness is an iOS alternative with a free plan, a $9.99/month Pro tier and a $59.99/year Pro tier; its new subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial.

Pick HumanGO if you want Android, iOS or web support and a paid Essential plan built around one personalized single-sport goal at a time, adaptive training, an AI coach and wearable and app connections. Kemtai is another paid option, available on Android, API, iOS, web and Windows. Runna offers Android, iOS and web access with a first week free on its monthly or annual subscription; consider it when those platforms and trial terms fit better. FitnessAI is a paid Android and iOS option with a free plan; its monthly membership is $9.99/month and renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends.

Verdict

Choose Styrki if you train on iPhone across lifting and running and want recovery-informed adjustments, extensive exercise guidance and wearable connections in one app. Its main advantage is that combined, adaptive training focus; look elsewhere if you need a non-iOS platform, want frequent AI coaching without paying, or prefer not to send coaching context and audio to third-party AI providers.
