Overview

XInfer combines product discovery, browsing, cart management and order tracking in a web experience. Shoppers can search and filter a catalog, inspect images, descriptions, prices and availability, add items from a product page or conversation, adjust quantities and check out in the browser. They can also view order history and follow orders through processing, shipping and delivery.

Customers can select a preferred business location to see the corresponding catalog and pricing. That makes the app more relevant to businesses whose offerings vary by location than to merchants with one uniform catalog. XInfer is a catalog-focused shopping assistant, not a general marketplace.

Key features

Chat, voice and product discovery

Customers can ask questions and receive recommendations through natural chat or voice, then narrow their choices with catalog search, category filters and product details. The combination helps shoppers move from an open-ended request to a specific item without leaving the browser. Its usefulness depends on having product or service information organized for customers to browse.

Checkout and order follow-up

Shopify stores can sync products and use checkout through draft orders with invoice links. Other stores can send order details to an external system through a webhook. Those paths connect the shopping assistant to existing commerce operations, but they are distinct integrations rather than a single universal checkout. Order history and status tracking cover processing, shipping and delivery.

Browser access and privacy

XInfer works in modern desktop and mobile browsers, so customers can start chatting without installing an app. Its privacy policy describes customer-level data separation, TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, role-based access controls and SOC 2 compliant cloud infrastructure. The maker says customer content is not used to train general AI models and is sent to third-party AI providers only to generate responses. Conversation history has a 90-day default retention period, configurable by the customer; technical logs are retained for 30 days.

Pricing

XInfer uses a freemium model with monthly paid plans and a 7-day trial. The published paid plans are billed monthly; no seat allowance is stated, so teams should not assume a particular user capacity.

Plan	Price	Included usage	Best fit
Free	Free	Up to 500 chunks and 500 products; 30 queries/month (300 in the first month); 10 voice minutes/month; 5 avatar minutes/month; 5 AudioSpotlights; AI-powered support.	Evaluation or a small-volume start, provided the low ongoing query and media quotas are sufficient.
Starter	39.00 USD per month, billed monthly	Up to 500 chunks and 500 products; 500 queries/month; 4 hours of voice/month; 1 hour of avatar/month; 10 AudioSpotlights; AI-powered support; overage available.	A modest catalog that needs more than the free query allowance.
Professional	89.00 USD per month, billed monthly	Up to 1,000 chunks and 1,000 products; 1,000 queries/month; 9 hours of voice/month; 3 hours of avatar/month; 30 AudioSpotlights; AI-powered support; overage available.	Businesses needing higher catalog and interaction limits than Starter provides.
Premium	189.00 USD per month, billed monthly	Up to 2,000 chunks and 2,000 products; 2,000 queries/month; 20 hours of voice/month; 10 hours of avatar/month; 90 AudioSpotlights; AI-powered support; dedicated database; overage available.	Higher-volume use where a dedicated database and larger quotas matter.
Enterprise	Custom pricing	Priority support and custom integrations.	Businesses that need those enterprise services.

The free tier's first-month allowance of 300 queries falls to 30 per month afterward, so it is more useful for trying the experience than sustaining regular customer traffic. Starter adds 470 monthly queries over that ongoing free allowance, but still limits catalogs to 500 products and 500 chunks. Professional and Premium raise the limits in steps, with Premium the only listed plan to include a dedicated database. Overage is available on paid tiers, but no rate is stated; usage beyond the included quotas can therefore affect cost. The plans describe no seat counts.

Platforms

The service is available on web, Android and iOS. Customers can use modern desktop and mobile browsers without installing an app to start chatting, which lowers the barrier to access from a business website.

Who it's for

XInfer is aimed at customer-facing businesses with a website and a product catalog, menu or structured service information. It fits merchants who want conversational recommendations alongside browsing, checkout and order follow-up, particularly where customers need to see location-specific offerings. Businesses without structured information to feed into a catalog, or those looking for a broad consumer shopping comparison service, should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pros: Chat and voice recommendations connect to catalog search, product details and cart actions, keeping discovery and purchasing in the same experience.
Pros: Shopify syncing and draft-order checkout, plus webhook delivery for other stores, provide two concrete routes into an existing commerce setup.
Pros: Location selection, order history and delivery tracking make the experience more useful beyond the initial product search.
Pros: Browser access avoids an app-install requirement for customers, and the privacy policy describes encryption, access controls and retention periods.
Cons: The free tier allows just 30 queries per month after its first month, limiting its usefulness for sustained customer-facing traffic.
Cons: Paid plans still impose product, chunk, query and media quotas; buyers expecting unmetered usage need to account for overage.
Cons: The 500-product cap is shared by Free and Starter, so Starter raises interaction capacity without expanding catalog size.

Alternatives

For a different shopping-assistant approach, consider AI Shopping Assistants. Choose ShopSavvy if price comparison, price history and price-drop alerts matter more than embedding catalog browsing, checkout and order tracking for a business. Vetted is an option for shoppers who want free access with advanced research tools available in Pro. Choose folk for shopping for iOS price searching and comparisons when price watching is not required on its free plan. YUKTA AI may fit shoppers looking for store comparisons, cart transfer, an AI chatbot and nutrition scores within its stated free-use limits. KompareAI is a free alternative for users seeking a shopping tool across iOS, Android, macOS and web. AGINITY AI is worth considering when its agentic chat or search approach and shop plugins better match the task. AskToBuy AI is another free option. ShopCompare AI is an alternative with free access on Android, iOS and web.

Verdict

XInfer is a good fit for businesses that want a browser-based, conversational route from a structured catalog to checkout and delivery tracking. Shopify syncing, webhook handoff and location-aware catalogs make it more than a recommendation widget. Choose it when those commerce links are valuable and the quotas suit expected traffic; look elsewhere if the free tier's ongoing limits are too restrictive or if you need a shopping comparison tool rather than a business-facing catalog assistant.
