Overview

The workflow transcribes speech, translates it, and creates a voice track, with review and editing before dubbing is finalized. You can revise individual translated lines, split or merge segments, and regenerate only the changed parts. That makes it a stronger fit for material where wording or timing needs attention than for a fully hands-off conversion; someone still needs to check the translation and resulting dub.

Unmixr detects speakers and lets you assign each a distinct voice. You can also fine-tune timing and speaking speed per segment, which helps shape pacing in dialogue. Exports include dubbed video or audio and translated subtitles in SRT and VTT. Uploads can be up to 60 minutes, in formats including MP4, MOV, MP3, and WAV. The FAQ says the dubbing page supports 100+ languages, while paid plan summaries specify 85 output languages.

The output does not re-animate lips or change video frames. That is a meaningful limitation for dialogue-heavy footage where viewers focus on mouth movements, but it does not prevent using the dubbed audio and subtitles for content where visual lip synchronization is not essential.

Key features

Segment-level translation editing: Revise lines, split or merge segments, and regenerate only changed sections. This keeps targeted corrections from requiring a full rerun.
Speaker-based voice assignment: Give detected speakers different voices, helping preserve distinctions in multi-person dialogue. Voice cloning is supported, though no further detail about its operation is provided.
Timing and speed controls: Adjust each segment’s timing and speaking speed. This is useful for pacing, but it does not make the video’s lip movements follow the new voice.
Subtitle and media exports: Download dubbed video or audio, with translated subtitles in SRT and VTT formats.
Background music separation: Available on paid recurring plans; it is excluded from the seven-day trial. This makes a recurring subscription more suitable than the trial for evaluating that part of the workflow.

Pricing

Unmixr uses a freemium model. The free account starts with 5,000 credits and supports dubbing, but exports are limited to three minutes and watermarked; it does not include a trial. That is enough to assess a short clip, but the cap makes it a poor fit for delivering longer work.

The seven-day trial includes 20,000 credits. The recurring plans provide monthly credit allowances, and their listed prices are $9 per month on Lite, $19 per month on Starter, $49 per month on Pro, and $99 per month on Business. Annual billing is also shown at $90, $190, $490, and $990 per year, respectively.

Plan	What it includes	Best fit
Lite	100K credits per month, dubbing, 85 languages; no developer API.	Individual users with regular dubbing needs who do not need API access.
Starter	500K credits per month, dubbing, 260 listed minutes, 85 languages, and a seven-day trial; developer API access.	Users who need API access and a larger monthly allowance than Lite.
Pro	2.6M credits per month, dubbing, 1,354 listed minutes, 85 languages, and higher API limits.	Workflows with greater volume or a need for higher API limits.
Business	6.5M credits per month, dubbing, 3,385 listed minutes, 85 languages, the highest API limits, and priority support.	Higher-volume use where priority support and the top API limits matter.

The listed minutes give a more concrete sense of plan capacity, while credit allowances are the monthly basis for usage. Lite is the lowest-cost paid option, but gives up API access; Starter and above add it, with limits rising by tier. Email and Discord support are available, with a stated aim to respond within 24 hours on business days. The privacy policy says content and voice data are not used to train AI models and describes TLS encryption, hashed password storage, access controls, and production system isolation.

Platforms

Unmixr Dubbing is available on the web. The product is also categorized as having API platform support, and developer API access is included on Starter, Pro, and Business, with tiered rate limits. The separate pricing summary says the Lite plan has no developer API access.

Who it's for

Unmixr suits creators, localization teams, and businesses adapting spoken video or audio for audiences in other languages, especially when they need to correct translations, retain distinct voices for speakers, or adjust timing before export. Its subtitle formats and longer upload limit also suit workflows built around existing media files. Look elsewhere if matching visible lip movements is a requirement, or if the three-minute free export cap cannot accommodate the work.

Pros and cons

Pros
- Line, segment, and timing edits allow focused revisions without regenerating unchanged sections.
- Distinct voices can be assigned to detected speakers, which helps keep multi-speaker dialogue differentiated.
- Dubbed media and SRT or VTT subtitles support both voice and subtitle localization workflows.
- Uploads up to 60 minutes accommodate longer source material than short-clip-only workflows.
- Starter and higher plans include API access, with rate limits scaled by tier.
Cons
- No lip re-animation or frame changes, so the new voice will not visually match speakers’ mouths.
- Free exports stop at three minutes and carry a watermark, limiting the free account to short previews.
- Lite has no developer API, so API-based workflows require a higher-priced plan.
- The trial excludes background music separation, which requires a paid recurring plan.

Alternatives

Choose VideoLingo if a free workflow with Linux, macOS, Windows, or self-hosted support matters more than broad language coverage: its free plan translates 15 minutes of English or Chinese video and outputs bilingual subtitles at 480p.

Vozo AI is another web and API option; its free plan allows three projects, 20 AI points (about six dubbing minutes), one seat, one concurrent task, and videos up to 20 minutes.

Consider Perso Dubbing if its free signup generation and included audio separation better fit a small initial dubbing task.

Vidby offers a free plan with 30 credits, 70 languages, watermarking, and downloads of the original and subtitles; its Basic plan costs $9.95 per month.

HeyGen provides a free plan capped at three videos per month and one minute per video.

Wavel AI has a free trial with one-time credits and watermarked videos.

pyVideoTrans is open source under GPL-V3 with no feature limits; users pay third-party API charges separately.

CAMB.AI offers a one-time 5K-credit free plan and paid Essentials at $5 per month.

Verdict

Unmixr Dubbing is a good choice for people who want translated voice tracks with speaker-specific voices and the ability to refine individual lines and timing. Its strongest reason to choose it is that combination of control and multiple export formats. Look elsewhere when lip synchronization is central, or when the free account’s short, watermarked exports are not enough for evaluation or delivery.
