Dell to launch 3 new Tablets this year – Tech Specs, Impression and Release Date

After the Dell Streak, we got to see the road map of the Dell’s upcoming tablets which were recently announced. The road map wasn’t that clear but now Dell revealed the names and tech spec details of all the three tablets featuring Windows 7 and Android Honeycomb.

The new tablets from Dell are named as, Dell Latitude ST, Dell Streak Pro and Dell Latitude XT-3, All of them have totally different hardware specifications to deliver .

Recently Intel introduced its newly developed CPU for Tablets codenamed as¬†Oak Trail chips. The Dell Latitude ST is powered by it with clock speed of 1.5GHz. It is Bundled with 2GB RAM and 128GB SSD Storage. The powerful specs of tablet will surely capable of performing something extreme. Latitude ST also have superb 10″ HD display at 1366 x 768 resolution, almost the iPad size (actually bigger than that).

Looking at the leaks, we were totally surprised on the operating system. Latitude ST isn’t powered by the Android 3.0 but instead it comes with the Windows 7. That’s what we liked the most, as Windows can make the optimize use of the hardware let’s see what benchmark scores will it get.

After the Dell streak, Dell will introduce the Streak Pro, another powerful tablet from Dell. The specifications are totally different from the Latitude ST and is powered by the nVIDIA Tegra 2 CPU, with 10″ XWGA display having resolution of 1280 x 800 and featuring Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) operating system.

Finally the most powerful one, Dell Latitude XT-3 is a convertible tablet rather less than tablet and more as a PC after considering its hardware specifications. It doesn’t belong to the 10inch family but has the perfect 13inch screen so its more a kind of laptop. It is Powered by the most powerful processor among the tablets, it comes with Intel Huron River core i3, i5 or i7 processors¬†delivering exceptional performance even for the gaming when bundled with 4GB RAM. More as a PC and less as a tablet Latitude XT-3 even provides 1080p output via the HDMI.

These tablets will be released in this year as the roadmap shows, Dell Streak Pro will be coming June 2011 where as Dell Latitude XT-3 is scheduled to release in July 2011 and the Dell Latitude ST is scheduled for late October 2011 release.
