The successor of Galaxy Note 2 is slated for the official release in the second half of the year, possibly in IFA 2013 but that does not stop the rumor mill from running. GSMInsider has spotted Galaxy Note III GT-N7200 in the AnTuTu benchmarks running Android 4.3, which is yet to be announced by Google. The model number N7200 follows the pattern of N7000 Galaxy Note and N7100 Galaxy Note II. According to the benchmark leak, it tops the chart with a processor clocked at 1.6 GHz, without any confirmation of its make or cores.
According to another rumor by SamMobile, Samsung won’t use “renewed metal design” for Galaxy Note 3 which was rumored earlier. It won’t pack a flexible display either. According to the report, making a lot of Galaxy Note 3 metal cases won’t be possible for Samsung and hence it will go with Galaxy S4 inspired design and build materials. Nothing is confirmed for now so take this with a pinch of salt.
The report also adds that the phone will be revealed in the third quarter, around IFA 2013. This is also evident from many other rumors and news sources. The report further explains that Samsung does not want to delay the launch by going with metal Galaxy Note 3 having flexible display, so it has preferred to go with the plastic Galaxy Note 3 to meet the launch deadline.
In other news by PhoneArena, a Samsung official has already confirmed the Galaxy Note III. They got confirmation from Samsung chief executive JK Shin that “Samsung will debut Note III with a 5.9-inch OLED screen at IFA in Germany in September.” Shin also confirmed that Galaxy Note III won’t feature a flexible screen. Since Samsung is not known to give surprises at their launch meetings, hence we can expect it to be the real deal.
In related news, Samsung has all its fingers dipped in honey as it announced having sold 10 million units of its flagship Galaxy S4 Smartphone in less than a month. It is the record for the fastest selling Android Smartphone to date. Aside from Black and White, Samsung announced it will also be releasing four more colors for its Galaxy S4 Smartphone – Blue Arctic, Red Aurora, Purple Mirage and Brown Autumn.
