1)- The acquisition of Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion.
On August 15, 2011 Google stunned the whole world by acquiring Motorola Mobility by USD $12.5 billion, which it will used to work for Google TVs and Android also supporting Google patents case, because it had acquired more than 17.000 patents by the process of Motorola.

2)- The acquisition of DoubleClick (Google Adsense) for $3.1 billion.
Google announced on April 13, 2007 that it had come to a definitive agreement to acquire DoubleClick for US $3.1 billion. DoubleClick service is mixed with Google’s Engineers experience to build AdSense. Due Google’s ability to extract gold from the stone made AdSense become a popular company in creating and placing banner advertisements on a website, because its advertisements are less intrusive, and the content of the advertisements is more relevant to the website, in Q1 2011, Google earned US$2.34 billion through AdSense. 3)- The acquisition of YouTube for $1.65 billion.
In October 2006, Google announced that it had acquired YouTube for US $1.65 billion. In June 2008, Google’s revenue from YouTube reached $200 million, noting progress in advertising sales. after while Google signed agreements with movies studios, to post full-length films and television episodes on YouTube, accompanied by advertisements in a section for US viewers called “Shows”, this service offers over 6,000 films. In addition to that YouTube offered free streaming of certain content such as The Indian Cricket Premier League. and lately The Royal Wedding of HRH Prince William and Kate Middleton .
4)- The acquisition of Postini (Gmail) for $625 million.
On 9 July 2007, Google spent $625 million in cash for the acquisition of Postini. which was an E-mail and archiving service founded in 1999 by Shinya Akamine, Gordon Irlam, Brian Maggi, and Scott Petry, and it provides cloud computing services for filtering e-mail spam and malware, and this was the main reason that made Google acquires it . After that, Google developed Postini better to bring Gmail to Life.

5)- The acquisition of On2 (VP8 & WebM) for $133 million.
Google tried to acquire this company which specializes in compress videos solutions by offering $106.5 million but it didn’t succeed . On February 17, 2010, Google’s increased the offer to $133 million. After being acquired by Google, On2 Technologies developed new bitstream format specification under a Creative Commons license called “VP8” codec. the format that Google integrate it with YouTube with HTML5 and name it later WebM.
6)- The acquisition of FeedBurner for $100 million.
On June 3, 2007, FeedBurner was acquired by Google, for USD $100 million. After one month Google unleashed two pro features (MyBrand and TotalStats) free to all users, and it start including this service with its major other services. Google FeedBurner , the service that links our web sites to RSS feeds reader. October 5, 2007, FeedBurner hosted over a million feeds for 584,832 publishers, including 142,534 podcast and videocast feeds . Unfortunately this type of service is decreasing because of social networking sites such as Twitter and facebook.

7)- The acquisition of Android Inc for $ 50 million.
August 2005 Google acquired Android Inc for USD $ 50 million , ” David Lawee ” Vice President of Development, said that it is the best acquisition done by Google . After acquisition Google set an Android team led by Andy Rubin to develop the new platform powered by the Linux kernel. and this brilliant team was able to issued many updates and fixes for Android OS, these updates fix bugs and add new features, and each new version of the Android OS is developed under a code name based on a dessert item. The code names are in alphabetical order (Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, and the upcoming Ice Cream Sandwich).

Piper Jaffrey analyst Gene Munster estimates that 2010′s revenue is about $5 in revenue per year per Android user. This is considerably favorable as Google rakes in just under $20 per user in its desktop search business. The average revenue per user, or ARPU, for Android is expected to grow to be $10 per head in 2010. With 300,000 Android devices reportedly activated per day, Google is gaining more users each day, which helps the company to reach the $1.3 billion estimate by the end of next year.

8)- The acquisition of GrandCentral (Google Voice) for $95 million.

10)- The acquisition of DocVerse (Google Docs) for $ 25 million.
On March 5, 2010, DocVerse, an online document collaboration company, was acquired by Google. It allows multiple user online collaboration on Microsoft Office compatible document formats such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
DocVerse company was founded in 2007 by former employees at Microsoft are Shan Shinah and Alex DeNeui. DocVerse allow users of Microsoft Office to work and edit their Doc files in collaboration with each other in real time, but this magic requires you to install an addition to Microsoft Office to do this thing. Google said in its official blog, that it is seeking through this acquisition to increase the efficiency of the service (Google Docs). It is noteworthy that Google acquired the company for $ 25 million.
