Harmon Kardon is a name which has been long associated with quality audio systems. The company has now announced the availability of Harman Kardon SB 30 sound bar. The elegant and beautifully designed wireless sound system uses new digital sound processing technology to provide a rich and dynamic soundtrack to movies, sports programming or video games.
The SB 30 renders 5.1-surround sound through an innovative triple-core digital signal processing (DSP) array, which features 13 transducers, six 2-inch woofers, seven 1-inch tweeters and 11 amplifier channels, thereby covering a full range of home theater audio.
The SB 30 soundbar features you two sound modes:
- Virtual – Enhances traditional two-channel stereo sources such as a CD by creating rear ambience
- Wave – Creates left and right surround fields to maximize the listening area in larger rooms through transducers
The above two modes thus help to experience unique surround sound effects.
Unlike soundbar that can be either wall-mounted or placed on table-top the wireless subwoofer can be placed anywhere in the room. The subwoofer sports a down-firing bass reflex design for accurate bass and a more realistic sound. When combined, the soundbar and wireless subwoofer can create a rich listening environment for your living room.
Apart from all this, SB 30 features Dolby Volume technology that helps to maintain the same volume level no matter what program you are watching or which channel you are surfing.
Consumers looking to improve the sound performance of an HDTV and enhance the overall experience will not be disappointed by the device’s performance. According to research from the NPD Group, soundbar system sales have grown 71 percent year-to-date from November 2010 to November 2011 and the popularity is growing with each passing day.
The Harman Kardon SB 30 has a minimum advertised price of $799. .The device will also be showing off at CES, beginning Jan 10.
