HTC has released Smartphones of high end recently. Among its Desire series, the two new devices launched in the global market are the HTC Desire S and the HTC Desire HD. Both are perfect products. But a comparison will tell us which one is more up to date and spec-wise, a superior handset.
Comparison of HTC Desire S and the HTC Desire HD:
HTC Desire S is equipped with a 480×800 pixels resolution, capacitive touchscreen with multi-touch and a proximity sensor for auto-rotate whereas Desire HD comes with almost similar setup but the touchscreen is an S-LCD, Sony’s own LCD technology, not the Samsung AMOLED display. Taking display features of both into account we come to a conclusion that HTC Desire HD wins.
The HTC Desire S has internal storage of 1.1 GB on board, 768 MB of RAM and it is plugged up with MicroSD and MicroSDHC cards whereas the Desire HD has 1.5 GB of storage space, with the same RAM and card support. There is 0.4 GB difference in space where Desire HD leads.
Desire HD uses Android 2.2 Froyo OS whereas Desire S runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. No great difference between both regarding OS but considering the small comparison HTC Desire S emerges winner in this round due to the presence of Gingerbread OS on this device.
Both the devices come with 1Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor. Hence Both are powerful and exactly same.
HTC Desire HD has an effective 8-megapixels camera with autofocus, dual LED flash; face detection and geo-tagging Whereas HTC Desire S has 5-megapixels camera with LED flash and autofocus. Hence if you are looking for a smartphone with a superb camera, then the HTC Desire HD is the right choice.
When we talk about battery life, it is better in HTC Desire than in the HTC Desire HD.
Both the phones are perfect and designed with necessary features which make a user comfortable operating it. The processor power and memory describes the performance of the phone and both the handsets are almost same regarding this. When we compare both in detail Desire HD is leading on specs front. It has a better 8-megapixels camera with many useful features, a slightly better capacity, a larger display and sharper looks.
Hence Desire HD is the winner.
