How to install ADB and Fastboot Kit for Android on Windows and Mac

A lot of features can be unlocked if we unlock the firmware of Android. What is ADB?

Installing ADB/Fastboot Kit on Windows is the most straightforward task, as you need only several clicks to finish the installation locally.

  1. Download the official ZIP file for ADB and Fastboot for Windows. You can also use Minimal Fastboot and ADB for Windows.
  2. Open the file in any ZIP Managing tool or even in the File Explorer.
  3. Extract every file into a convenient folder. (eg. C:\adb or c:\program files\adb). Wherever it is, remember the directory.
  4. Open the folder where you copied the ADB/Fastboot files > Shift+Right click.
  5. Click on “Open command prompt here” or “Open Powershell window here.”

  2. Extract the ADB Zip file to an easily accessible folder.
  3. Now open the command-line and enter the following code: cd [extracted-directory-address] Replace the [extracted-directory-address] with the folder address where you extracted the zip file. Open the command line from the folder/finder by just following these steps:
    1. Go to Keyboard > Shortcuts > Services > Enable “New Terminal at Folder.”
    2. Now go to the parent folder of the extracted folder and right-click on the targeted folder. Choose Services > “New terminal at the folder.”
