iPad 2 vs Motorola Xoom : Tried and Compared!

Apple, in its revamped version of original iPad, made many improvements while providing it tag of next version of iPad, under the name iPad 2. But now seeing many companies have launched their own tablet products, will these improvements prove enough? Xoom, an Android based tablet by Motorola, first made its  public appearance in early January 2011. It became the first ever tablet to be sold with Android 3.0 OS. Afterwards, Motorola sequentially rolled out upgraded versions of Xoom, which provided facilities of 3G and Wi-Fi. Now the current buzz in market says Xoom 2 is on its way to make public appearance.

Both the tablets in discussion have been designed with skills but Motorola Xoom feels somehow bulkier than Apple iPad 2. Apple iPad 2 also has very sleek design as compared to its competitor Xoom and its sleek design is what makes it famous, beautiful and helps it to stand apart. While we can see, hardware wise Motorola Xoom is outshining the iPad 2, when software and user interface testing was done, Apple iPad 2 seen exceeding our expectations. Motorola Xoom still lacks some great feature which iPad series has long back incorporated plus Xoom controls are a little complex to understand.

When we tried playing various games on both the devices, again iPad 2 managed to stay at top of the chart providing faster performance despite its smaller RAM. With Android app. market is booming, it still lacks backing of strong software like iTunes for Apple products. Thus we can surely say that in hardware section Motorola has managed to outplay Apple’s iPad 2 but in UI and applications section, it still needs go a long way.
