It has been raining rumors and images for the budget iPhone, also dubbed as iPhone 5S and iPhone Lite by many. All the pictures confirm that the size of both the regular iPhone 5 and the budget iPhone will be same more or less with the only differences in looks and specifications. The affordable iPhone will also come in many different colors to compete with Android devices. Check out the images by TechKiddy which clearly reveals that iPhone 5 will be thinner as compared to the iPhone 5.
The rumors also add that iPhone Lite will be available in two different versions: Zenovo and Zegato/Bertone, with minor differences between both. Zenovo will be powered by a Samsung H5P dual core processor, 1 GB of RAM, FDD 4G connectivity and Bluetooth while the Zegato will be powered by a Samsung H6P dual core processor and TDD 4G connectivity targeted for Chinese markets. Zenovo will be cheaper than Zegato. The blog also revealed that the iPhone 6 premium version will be available in gray, silver and Gold colors and Apple will move away from Black and White colors.
According to previous rumors, the budget iPhone will come in three different versions: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB each priced at $349, $449 and $549 respectively. This is really an attractive price to look forward to and might actually stir up the market if launched at such a price in the hands of the consumers. Earlier rumors also said that the clock speed of the dual core processor will be 1.23 GHz and the budget iPhone will run on iOS 7, which is expected to be released in September. There are no details about the launch or announcement of budget iPhone, but end of the year or early 2014 is expected.
In related news, iPad Mini 2 might not feature a Retina display, unlike previously rumored. Due to unsteady supply, Apple might be forced to delay the upcoming iPad Mini, originally expected in the fall season. Apple might be forced to push forward the release to Q1 of 2014 or it might choose to release it on schedule without a Retina Display. It can also be debated whether the iPad Mini needs a high resolution display or not, since the first generation iPad Mini was successful without it.
Some analysts are even suggesting that there might be two different versions of iPad Mini, one with and one without the Retina display. Coming to the 5th Gen iPad, Apple is said to have contacted LG Electronics to provide 2.5 to 3 million units of 9.7 inch display panel for iPad 5 during Q3, 2013. IPad 5 is said to come with same 2048×1536 resolution display like its predecessor and will be thinner and lighter. LG will also deliver 2 to 3 million of 7.9 inch display for iPad Mini 2, but it’s not clear whether it will be Retina display or not.
