Here are some eye-catching features of Lenovo IdeaPad V470.

Designed with Excellence

IdeaPad V470 instantly grabs users’ attention with its aluminum lid featuring plastic strip on the top. Textured logo of Lenovo, positioned below the strip, adds to the beauty of IdeaPad. Deck features similar pattern with black keyboard having orange colored function keys adds to the decoration.

Creativity follows to the design of power button, which is located on upper left corner. As soon as one presses the button, white light oozes out through strip of small dotes, pleasing your retina.  Four LEDs are located on right side acting as indicators for dedicated functions. Speakers on extreme edges on top and fingerprint reader located on right bottom corner add to the character of Lenovo IdeaPad V470.

Lenovo is renowned for design of keyboard and legacy follows with IdeaPad V470. Concave shaped widely spaced keys provide little room for error while typing. Though size of space key and right shift are unusually small, it doesn’t create any disturbance while typing. Touchpad of IdeaPad V470 supports multi touch gestures but, sadly, pinch-to-zoom feature is unavailable.

Bright Display but Not the Best One

14 inch display of IdeaPad V470 is quite bright but lacks wide angle feature. Images fed out if one tries to see it from slightly different angle. Off-putting reflections observed while watching video, thanks to the lustrous coating around display. In case of Audio, notebook performs well except in case of high-bass music. However, one can never experience tiny sound despite of low bass settings.

Moderate Performance

Featuring Core i3 Processor, IdeaPad V470 doesn’t certainly perform like a high end notebook; however its configuration is quite healthy to handle daily business tasks. Compared to its contemporaries like HP Pavilion dm4t, IdeaPad’s performance is marked at lower scale. Core i3 processor seems to have lowered booting speed of Windows Home 7 Premium as IdeaPad takes 4 seconds more than other notebooks from same category.

Basic configuration with Intel Core i3 Processor, 4 GB RAM and 500 GB storage; Lenovo IdeaPad costs $599. More powerful version is available at $749 which features Core i5 Processor along with nVidia GeForce graphics chip with 1 GB RAM. The power packed configuration features 2 GHz Core i7 processor with 6 GB RAM and 750 GB storage that sadly lacks power of nVidia graphics.
