The Lenovo T43 Design

Being targeted at business users, design of Lenovo ThinkPad T43 is just perfect to serve the purpose.  It’s available with 15.0 inch and 14.1 screens. The smaller sized screen makes to lighter and more mobile.

I bet, the moment you touch its body you will get the feeling that it’s really good. Its screen cover is made of magnesium alloy that prevents any kind of flexing on the screen. The solid protective case saves your LCD from all types of ripples. The metallic hinges that attach the screen with the remaining part of T43’s body ensures that there should not be any wobble in the screen even if placed in a rough surface.

Lenovo T43 has a SXGA (1,280 x 1,024) resolution display. One can have around 10-15% extra display space in the 15.0 inch screen than the 14.1 inch.

However, is display quality falls short, if compared to other renowned notebooks. There are some issues with its brightness too but the horizontal display is quite good.

Keyboard / TouchPad / TrackPoint

This machine has a standard keyboard, trackpoint stick for easy navigation. Positioning of buttons on the keyboard frame is well-thought and good.  Lenovo’s user oriented approach and extensive research work is reflected through it.

Input Output Ports

It has two USB 2.0 ports, one S-Video output port, D-SUB port, PC card slot (PCMCIA slot) and Express Card slot etc.

Wireless Connectivity

It has UltraConnect Wireless Antenna that facilitates excellent wireless connectivity. There is no inbuilt Bluetooth but there is Infrared in it.

It has 6-cell standard lithium rechargeable battery with 4hours usage. You can use 9-cell batteries to increase life too.

So the overall features suggest that Lenovo ThinkPad T43 is satisfactory in many aspects but with complains regarding display quality.
