The game release calendar is subject to a lot of changes: studios run out of money, they run out of time, and they run out of trained professionals! The game reveals and releases are the hottest dates on the calendar for most gamers, and we’re sure you’re absolutely dying to know what’s coming out and when. Whether you’re gaming in Ontario, New York, Tokyo, or Cape Town, game release dates can change from one week to the next. We’ve gathered the most exciting game releases that we could find that seems to be on track for their release dates and put them all together for you right here.

Among Us: Ejected Edition

Releasing 6 May 2022 for Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 and 5, and Xbox.

Prepare to spend a lot of time looking over your shoulder ‘cos in Among Us: EjectedEdition, you never know who you can trust. This multiplayer game is a hotbed of betrayal and stress. You and your crewmates must try your best to keep your spaceship from falling to pieces completely so that you can make the trip back to civilization. You should be able to rely on your crew, but there may be an impostor in your midst, so watch out! You’ll need to figure out who has been body-snatched by a parasite who wants nothing more than to sabotage your best efforts. You must rally the crew and stay safe while you try to rebuild your only chance of survival.

Salt and Sacrifice

Releasing May 10, 2022, for PC and Playstation 4 and 5.

Step out of your usual everyday life and into a dark and menacing fantasy world in Salt and Sacrifice. Take on a challenging RPG campaign with intricate combat systems as a hero setting out from Pardon’s Vale. You’ll have to battle corrupted mages and the creatures they control as Marked Inquisitors. You’re charged with purifying the land and you can only do this as you begin to restore order by slaying these dark mages and helping the kingdom find balance once more. You can play a solo campaign or join the faction of your choice in online mode.

Saints Row

Releasing 23 August 2022 for PC, Playstation 5 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series XS.

Saints Row is easily one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Set in the fictional city of Ileso, Saints Row follows The Boss, a former defense industry tycoon who sets about assembling his own gang out of the dissatisfied members of the gangs already roaming the streets. There are The Idols, who believe in anarchy and love the nightlife; Los Panteros who are buff to the max and love a good hotrod; and lastly Marshall Defense Industries who are a military-funded weapons corporation. Playing as The Boss, you aim to overthrow all of these gangs with your newly formed one. Your crew are hard hitters and they’re ready to take on anything that comes their way.

Forspoken

Releases 11 Oct 2022 for Playstation 5 and PC.

In Forspoken, you play as Frey Holland; an almost 12-year-old New Yorker who steps through a portal to the land of Athia. Fantasies and nightmares become reality and Frey has to learn fast. She picks up magical skills that help keep her alive and give her the edge over the monsters that call Athia their home. For her to get back to her home, she’ll have to take on the Tantas; the all-powerful matriarchal society that currently presides over all the comings and goings in Athia. Frey is kitted out with a pair of gold cuffs that get her out of a lot of sticky situations. Homer, Frey’s adorable, fluffy cat, is waiting to welcome her home, but will she make it?

Starfield

Releases 11 November 2022 for Xbox series XS and PC.

The release of Starfield marks Bethesda’s first new world in 25 years: that’s longer than some avid gamers have been alive! The artwork alone is enough to make this game worth waiting for, but there’s going to be so much more to Starfield. Set in a part of space called The Settled Systems, Starfield sees two large factions, the United Colonies and Freestar Collective, take each other on in an intense and bloody war. 20 years on, the game begins and players take on completely customizable characters who are part of Constellation, a space explorer’s guild. Choose from first or third-person perspective throughout the game.
