Nexus 4 price drop, new Nexus 7 on sale in UK, Germany, France and Spain

Google has announced a price drop for its legendary Smartphone Nexus 4 when bought via the Play Store. It is selling for just $199 for the 8 GB version and $249 for the 16 GB version in US, UK, Canada, Germany, Australia, Spain, France and Korea.

Pricing for South Korea is not yet available but here is the price for the rest of the countries:

  • UK: Starting 159 GBP
  • US: Starting 199 USD
  • Germany: Starting 199 Euros
  • Spain: Starting 199 Euros
  • France: Starting 199 Euros
  • Canada: Starting 199 CAD
  • Australia: Starting 249 AUD

Nexus 4 was launched a year ago, but it still remains one of the hottest Smartphone directly from Google. This is better than what most users pay for their two-year contract in the US. Nexus 4 is manufactured by LG and gets the latest direct updates from Google. It is not yet known if this price-drop will also come to other countries, but if you’re in one of the eligible countries, get your hands on it before the stocks run out. If you have bought the Nexus 4 in the last two weeks, you are also eligible to claim the Price Protection to get the difference refunded.

In related news, the new Nexus 7 has also arrived in the UK, Germany, France, Spain and Japan via Google Play Store. The versions released are the Wi-Fi only versions of the new Nexus 7 (2013).

  • Japan: 27,800 yen (16GB)

There is still no information about the release of these tablets in other countries. Also,we are still awaiting Google to release plans about the LTE/3G versions of the new Nexus 7 in the above countries. Even the US and Canada are putting up the Wi-Fi only variants for now. Stay tuned for updates!
