What it does: Amazon Merch on Demand is a print-on-demand service for creating and selling merchandise.
How it works: Creators supply artwork, choose product types and colors, and promote products while Amazon creates the product page and handles the rest.
Fulfillment: Orders are printed after customers buy them, and the service is eligible for Prime shipping.
Royalties: Revenue for each item sold is based on the recommended selling price and the base product sold.
Royalty calculation: The royalty is based on the product offer price less applicable tax and Amazon’s costs.
Product setup: Creators can upload designs and select base products in the Creator Dashboard, which includes design templates.
Storefronts: Sellers can offer merchandise in up to seven Amazon storefronts: .com, .jp, .uk, .de, .fr, .it, and .es.
Integrations: Artists can add merchandise to their Amazon Music artist page and connect it to their Bandsintown artist page.
Promotion: The service page describes promoting products through an app, blog, or social media.
Eligibility: The service is non-exclusive and can be used with other merch production vendors if the seller has rights to the designs and no conflicting exclusive deal.
Account approval: Creators apply using an existing Amazon account, and the Merch on Demand team makes the final account approval decision.
Support: The Amazon developer page links to Merch on Demand FAQs as a support resource.
