Free Download Manager (FDM) is a download manager for organizing and accelerating file transfers on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android. It splits files into sections and downloads them at the same time; interrupted downloads can be resumed. It also supports BitTorrent. Its scheduler can start or pause downloads, launch applications, and connect or disconnect from the internet at set times. Traffic modes help manage use while browsing and downloading. FDM can preview audio and video before a download finishes and convert file formats afterward. Official Chrome and Firefox extensions provide browser integration, and the Elephant add-on supports video downloads from various sites. With FDM installed on both devices, an Android device can create downloads on a remote PC or Mac. The plan is 0.00 USD per free, with no ads and optional donations. Its privacy information says it does not track in-app activity or share personal data, while its policy also describes collecting profile information, network settings and user-provided cookies, plus Flurry Analytics interaction data it says is not personally identifiable.
