The record

Purpose: Kahlan is a PHP unit and BDD testing framework that uses a describe-it syntax.
Stubbing: Kahlan provides a built-in stubbing system and says Mockery or Prophecy are not needed.
Monkey patching: Kahlan can replace methods, functions, or classes during testing without requiring PECL extensions.
Code coverage: Code coverage metrics require phpdbg or Xdebug.
Reporting: Built-in reporters include dot, bar, JSON, TAP, and verbose formats, with output optionally redirected to a file.
Coverage exports: The CLI documents Clover XML, Istanbul-compatible JSON, and lcov text coverage exports.
Framework compatibility: Kahlan uses Composer autoloading and is compatible with most frameworks; some frameworks with their own autoloaders need manual namespace configuration.
Framework integrations: The documentation describes a dedicated plugin for Laravel test facilities and a Kahlan bundle for Symfony 2.7 and later.
Requirements: The getting-started page lists PHP 5.5 or later as a requirement.
Installation: The recommended installation method is Composer as a development dependency, using composer require --dev kahlan/kahlan.
License: Kahlan is licensed under the MIT license.
Performance limit: The configuration documentation says its source interception and rewriting approach makes code run a bit slower, and that patching can be limited to selected namespaces.
Support: The opened official documentation describes contributing by opening a pull request against the dev branch.
