Karaoke Mugen is a playlist manager for karaoke parties, supporting both private sessions and public events run by an operator. Operators can add, remove, reorder, shuffle, import, and export songs, including with smart shuffle. Guests can suggest songs from their own devices, and the operator can let the audience vote on what plays next. Sessions can include automixes, quiz mode, and quotas for songs or singing time; blacklists and whitelists can filter songs. The player offers playback controls, automatic volume adjustment, pitch and speed changes, and a synchronized second video player. It accepts video formats supported by mpv, uses ASS subtitles, and supports imports including Ultrastar, Karafun, and KBP. Users can link AniList, Kitsu, or MyAnimeList accounts for songs from anime they have watched, and the currently sung song can appear on Discord profiles. Optional online features include song downloads from karaoke repositories and online accounts. Once installed, configured, and up to date, the app can run offline, but guests need the same Wi-Fi network. Karaoke Mugen is free, open source under the MIT license, and has Windows, macOS, and Linux builds. Linux binaries require GLIBC 2.31 or higher.
