The record

Purpose: Lit Mind Maps is grounded literature AI for Masters and PhD students.
Search: Users can ask a research question in plain language or paste a paper title or DOI to search academic papers.
Grounded answers: It returns an answer with citations grounded in the papers retrieved by the search.
Mind map and timeline: Retrieved papers populate a three-branch literature mind map and an idea timeline, and users can change the branch set before searching again.
Citation map: The citation map plots a seed paper, its references, and papers that cite it as bubbles by year and citation count.
Answer sets: Five optional answer sets cover definition, mechanism, evidence, effects, and comparison, with three branches in each set.
Word export: After signing in and searching, users can download a Word starting draft for a literature review or research proposal.
Paper data source: The site says paper records are supplied by Semantic Scholar.
Coverage limit: The site says searches are grounded in retrieved paper records—titles, abstracts, and metadata—and do not read the full text of every paper.
Use limitation: The site describes its output as a starting aid, not a finished thesis chapter or a full-text PRISMA 2020 review, and advises users to check each paper.
Intended users: The site identifies Masters and PhD students as its intended users for academic literature search, citation mapping, literature mind maps, and review starting drafts.
