The record

Purpose: SpeechT5 is a unified speech-text pre-training framework for spoken language processing.
Architecture: Its framework combines a shared encoder-decoder network with six speech and text specific pre- and post-nets.
Tasks: The project evaluates models for speech recognition, synthesis, translation, voice conversion, enhancement, and speaker identification.
Model downloads: The repository lists SpeechT5 Base and Large pre-trained models, with model files linked from Hugging Face or Google Drive.
Hugging Face: The fine-tuned TTS model is available through Hugging Face Transformers and can be run locally.
Integrations: The TTS instructions use Transformers, SentencePiece, and audio datasets, and link to Google Colab and Kaggle notebooks.
Setup: The repository setup instructions install the Fairseq submodule in editable mode and install ESPnet.
Inference limit: The repository says speech generation and joint CTC/decoder inference are supported only with batch size 1 for the specified tasks.
License: The repository uses the MIT License, which grants permission to use, copy, modify, distribute, sublicense, and sell copies subject to its conditions.
Security reporting: Microsoft asks users to report vulnerabilities in Microsoft-owned repositories to MSRC rather than through public GitHub issues.
Support: The repository directs model support questions to GitHub issues and lists Long Zhou for other SpeechT5 communications.
Model card limitation: The Hugging Face model card says its language information, risk and limitation details, and several training and evaluation details need more information.
