The record

Product: Narrative is an AI video editor where users describe an edit and receive a draft on an editable timeline.
Editing features: The editor can read footage, make cuts, create captions and graphics, and explain what it changed.
Formats: The site shows 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, and 4:5 frame options.
Version history: The site says each editing turn is saved as a version that users can restore.
Intended users: The App Store listing says the app is made for people who edit on their phone and post often, including sports highlights, montages, short-form edits, and talking-head clips.
Platforms: The site links to a web editor and an iPhone app; its reframing guide says the web editor runs on a computer and recommends the iPhone app on a phone.
Subscription requirement: The App Store listing says timeline editing, AI editing, and exports require a Narrative subscription.
Integrations: The privacy policy names OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Deepgram, AWS, Modal, and Stripe as service providers involved in AI processing, transcription, hosting, or payments.
AI training: The privacy policy says user footage, prompts, and edits are not used to train Narrative's own models, and model provider contracts prohibit training on submitted material.
Security: The privacy policy says traffic is encrypted in transit, stored files are encrypted at rest, and production access is limited and logged.
Data retention: Projects, footage, and renders stay until deleted; deleted project data is cleared from storage and backups within 30 days.
Support: The support page says the team usually replies to support requests by email within a day.
Company: The site identifies the company as Narrative AI Inc.
Limits: The terms say plans include stated rendering and storage amounts, and exceeding them may slow exports, require an upgrade, or incur disclosed additional charges.
