The record

What it does: Precedent turns a company’s deal history into one-page deal review briefs before sign-off, delivered in Slack within 2 hours.
Intended customers: The site describes Precedent as a fractional deal desk for B2B SaaS teams.
Deal history: It structures the customer’s last 24 months of contracts, order forms, and closed-won and closed-lost deals into a queryable history.
Integrations and context: The site names Salesforce, Drive, Slack, Gmail, and Gong as sources of historical or live deal context.
Deal review: Deal Review Briefs compare a deal with the customer’s own past deals and flag pricing and term risks with a recommendation.
Human review: An operator signs every deal brief, and the site says recommendations are not generated automatically without that review.
Redline Review: Redline Review retrieves counsel-approved fallback positions from prior resolved redlines, while genuinely new redlines are routed to counsel.
Procurement Memory: Procurement Memory pre-fills questionnaires from a library of prior answers that retain their source, date, and verifier.
Data access: The service describes its access as read-only and says it never writes to customer systems.
Procurement scope: Procurement Memory uses scoped sources the customer approves, such as completed questionnaires, past security reviews, DPAs, and shared inboxes, rather than a full mailbox crawl.
Confidentiality: The site states that Precedent uses a mutual NDA and DPA and that customer data never trains anyone else’s desk.
Support and service: The site promises a 2-hour SLA on every deal and says live deal desk questions are answered in minutes.
Coverage limit: The listed monthly price covers every approval deal up to about 20 per month, with larger volumes sized separately.
Founder: The site identifies Liam Novak as Precedent’s founder and describes his background as a career deal desk and RevOps operator.
Price from: $3,500/mo
