PREMIER SOUND FACTORY sells sampled software instrument libraries for music and production work. Its catalog includes acoustic and electric pianos, Japanese instruments, drums, basses, and Mellotron sounds. The KAWAI Legend piano library is available in 96kHz/24bit and includes a 48kHz version for 48kHz and 44.1kHz sessions. Its listed features include harmonic resonance, release-trigger, damper and half-pedal playback, and Velocity+. KAGUYA includes two koto instruments, 16 articulations, 36 Japanese scales, and 214 audio phrase patterns. Compatibility depends on the product: Drum Tree, KAGUYA, and Shakuhachi Premier G work with Kontakt Player, while the maker says other products require full Kontakt. Product specifications list Audio Units, VST, AAX Native, ASIO, Core Audio, and WASAPI, as well as support for DAWs including Cubase, Logic, Studio One, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Digital Performer, and Reaper. A standalone app and built-in samples are listed. Free libraries are available, with paid products from $81. A license covers two computer installations and commercial or noncommercial production use. Downloads expire after one month, and licenses cannot be transferred.
