Purpose: Quaddicted maintains a database of Quake maps and files.
Database: The site has a new database interface at quaddicted.com/db/.
Map comments and ratings: Map pages load comments and ratings from the Quaddicted forums.
Rating scale: Users can rate releases on a scale from one to five hearts.
Discussion workflow: Users add comments and ratings by continuing the discussion in the forums.
Map submissions: A submitted release is added to the Quaddicted database after its download URL is posted to the release tracking forum.
Submission format: The submission guidelines call for a standard ZIP archive containing a compiled BSP and a text file describing the level, author, and requirements.
API: The maintainer describes the database as having a PostgreSQL API and invites developers to request beta access.
Quake Injector status: The Quake Injector can still read its existing XML database, but it will not receive further data updates without a new export feature or a rebuild.
Website status: The maintainer said in October 2024 that the new website was not yet open source.
Account and authentication: The forum migration was intended to let the maintainer work on the rest of the site without handling user accounts and authentication there.
Support: The maintainer asks users to report broken features and invites suggestions and volunteer help.
