The record

Purpose: Rubrical is an AI teaching platform for geography departments.
Assessment creation: Teachers can upload PDF, Word, or image assessments and mark schemes, or build rubrics from scratch.
AI marking: Rubrical marks answers criterion by criterion against the teacher’s rubric and drafts feedback.
Teacher approval: Teachers review and approve every mark and feedback item before it is returned to students or written back to an LMS.
Lesson planning: Rubrical drafts spec-aligned objectives, timed lessons, and tiered resources grounded in checkable sources.
Analytics: Approved marks produce assessment-objective breakdowns, question-difficulty rankings, at-risk student flags, misconception heatmaps, and plain-English queries.
Integrations: Rubrical imports work from Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams and also supports scan uploads and student hand-in links.
Exam boards: Rubrical supports AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and WJEC/Eduqas specifications, plus user-supplied rubrics.
Accessibility: Feedback can be simplified, enlarged, displayed in OpenDyslexic, or translated into a student’s first language.
Data storage: Core school application data is stored in Rubrical’s Supabase project in West Europe (London).
Security certifications: OpenKit says it holds ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 9001, and Cyber Essentials and operates to UK GDPR.
Training-data policy: Student work and learning-platform data are not used to train, fine-tune, benchmark, evaluate, or improve AI models.
Support: Existing users can reach support inside the app, while demo, pricing, and pilot enquiries are handled by contact form or email with a stated reply time of two working days.
Pricing: Rubrical’s about page directs users to contact the team for demos, pricing, and pilots rather than listing public prices.
