The record

What it does: Tomus teaches music theory through short interactive games for note reading, rhythm, intervals, scales, chords and ear training.
Daily practice: Daily Jam offers five exercises each day, three of which are playable without a subscription.
Premium library: A premium subscription unlocks all 26 games across five skill areas, playable as often as users like.
Progress: Game summaries report correct answers, mistakes, accuracy and time, with progress tracked across the five skill areas.
Skill levels: The app has ten levels, starts users at a level based on a setup test, and gates some games until users reach the required level.
Written learning: The site offers free written explanations and music theory reference pages separately from the app’s practice games.
Device requirements: Tomus supports iPhone and iPad running iOS 15.0 or later; its FAQ says there is no Android or web version.
Offline use: The app is designed to work offline and is available in English.
Trial: The App Store listing offers a seven-day trial with access to all features.
Privacy: The privacy policy says the app may collect contact and profile information, device and usage data, and crash data; it says reasonable security measures are used but absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Support: The FAQ directs users to [email protected] or the Tomus Discord for help.
Pricing note: The US App Store prices listed in the FAQ also include Weekly $0.99; prices vary by region and subscriptions are managed through the Apple account.
