The record

Product: Trove is a family photo sharing service that sends loved ones a weekly photo newsletter by email and offers printed keepsakes.
Weekly newsletter: Trove selects photos, writes and lays out a weekly update, and lets users edit it before it is sent on Sunday.
Imports: Users can import their photo library from Apple Photos or Google Photos.
Search: The app supports searching photos using natural language.
Family features: Trove offers milestones, automatically calculated ages, and one-year-ago photo flashbacks.
Privacy: Trove says family photos are not used to train AI models, and users control who can view their photos.
Storage security: The privacy policy says media is stored on a token-authenticated CDN with encryption in transit and at rest.
Face recognition: Optional face recognition is off by default, with facial analysis performed on-device and biometric embeddings kept off Trove’s servers.
Data rights: Users can export or delete their data at any time, and the privacy policy says Trove complies with GDPR and CCPA.
Analytics: App analytics can include periodic screenshots that may show family photos or entered text; users can turn this collection off in the app.

Who it serves: Trove describes itself as built for busy parents and designed to help grandparents receive family updates by email or post.
