UltraStar Deluxe is a free, open-source karaoke game for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Players sing songs and earn points based on vocal pitch and rhythm, or create their own songs. Party mode divides up to 8–12 players into two or three teams. The maker says more than 10,000 songs are available; players can also use DRM-free audio files or music stored on their computers. SingStar microphones work with the game. Players can create themes and download community plugins, free songs, and code patches. Lua plugins must use the .usdx extension and go in the plugins directory. The Official UltraStar Song Format is shared with partner games and song editors. The game is completely free, with Flathub and AUR listed as alternative installation methods. Minimum requirements include a 1GHz CPU, OpenGL 1.2, 512MB free RAM, and 200MB of disk space, plus room for songs and videos. Audio devices lack plug-and-play support, so connecting a new one requires restarting the game.
