Samsung announces Android 4.0 upgrade for Samsung Galaxy S II

Samsung has launched a bunch of Android 4.0 phones in the market, and a lot of galaxy android phones. The most popular amongst them till now is the Samsung Galaxy S II, now Samsung has officially announced the android 4.0 update for Samsung Galaxy S II. For the time being, it is released in some of the European countries, but gradually Samsung would announce this update for Asian owners as well.

We’re thrilled to announce that Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be served to GALAXY S II users in the European countries including Poland, Hungary and Sweden, as well as Korea today, and gradually roll out to other markets.

ICS for GALAXY Note, GALAXY S II LTE, GALAXY Tab 8.9 and 10.1 will follow soon.

In addition, we’ll also offer Android 2.3 Gingerbread firmware upgrades for GALAXY S, GALAXY Tab 7″, GALAXY S Plus, GALAXY S SCL (Super Clear LCD) and GALAXY W from end March. The firmware upgrades for GALAXY S, for example, include Face Unlock, Snapshot, Photo Editor, and others.

The availability and scheduling of the software update and specific models upgradeable to Android 4.0 will vary by market and wireless carriers’ requirements.

The combination of Galaxy S II and Android 4.0 Ice-cream sandwich is really going to be awesome, with the availability of updates for Galaxy S II; Samsung has also announced some firmware upgrades for many of the phones. ICS upgrade for GALAXY Note, GALAXY S II LTE, GALAXY Tab 8.9 and 10.1 would be out soon. Android 2.3 upgrades would also be shortly available for some phones and would include some good application mentioned above.

Samsung has also announced many more updates in different phones that would be out soon. The power of the New Firmware and upgraded hardware are really going to rock in the markets. Samsung hasn’t officially announced the updates in INDIA, but no need to worry, the updates would be soon available in INDIA and other countries too.
