Last year Samsung made an addition to its Galaxy line up by adding device named Galaxy Ace. Galaxy Ace is a mid level phone which was brought into the markets to focus budget customers with its specifications and price tag. Announced last January, Galaxy Ace gained enough popularity complete year.
Samsung Galaxy vs Galaxy Ace Plus
This year again Samsung has announced a successor to Galaxy Ace named as Galaxy Ace Plus. Yes, Plus indicates some extra features and a notes better device than the previous. Samsung has completely refreshed the Galaxy Ace and has made it balanced device. What’s the difference in this successor?
CPU & RAM
Galaxy Ace CPU which was clocked at 800MHz has been over clocked to 1 GHz in the ‘Plus’, that’s obvious for any Android running device of today. Reaching 1GHz mark has unlocked phone’s potential to use Gingerbread. Alongside ‘Plus’ also features 512MB of RAM, which is approximately times two the previous. Making your multi tasking experience even more smooth.
Dimensions & Screen Size
Galaxy Ace Plus is a complete makeover, it doesn’t weight, feel or look like its predecessor. Samsung has entirely copied Apple iPhone 3GS exterior and cosmetics and brought up this new device. Their is change in the dimensions but the phone is slightly made slim than the previous. It features a bigger screen than Galaxy Ace which is stretched upto 3.65inch keeping the stock resolution same. Increasing the screen size has changed the phone’s dimensions.
There is no change made in the camera department, you get the same 5MP camera like Galaxy Ace along with same features like Geo-tagging, face and smile detection. There is no addition of the primary camera (front facing camera) for video calling.
This time there is a boost to internal memory, Samsung has added 3GB space as internal storage which is much more than Galaxy Ace’s 158MB storage. Along with this, you can also expand the storage by adding a microSD card slot supporting upto 32GB.
Earlier, Galaxy Ace was factory installed with Froyo which could be later updated to Gingerbread. This time ‘Plus’ comes with Factory installed Gingerbread which is perfectly balanced by the phone’s hardware and optimises it fully. Don’t expect Ice Cream Sandwich flavour for Plus, though it has 1GHz CPU the TouchWiz will create compatibility problems.
The 1350mAh battery of Galaxy Ace has been considerably decreased to 1300mAh in Galaxy Ace Plus. To balance the powerful hardware inside a better battery capacity was necessary. Decreasing the battery capacity will bring down the backup time even below than the original Galaxy Ace.
