Samsung Galaxy Prevail Review & Technical Specification

Samsung Galaxy Prevail is a mid-range Android device consisting of a feature set that is impressive enough for the phone in this price array. Running on Qualcomm 800 MHz processor, 382 MB RAM and display resolution of 320×480, this phone is a sensible choice. There is no eye-opener attribute as such, but still, it’s worth buying this stuff. The phone is quite lightweight (only “3.9 oz”) and is comprised of small form factor with a black finish. Samsung Galaxy Prevail Review

  • Low-cost smartphone, affordable by many a lot.
  • Available on Boost Mobile on nationwide Sprint Network, one of the best mobile phone service providers.

  • Image or picture quality of display not that good due to low screen resolution.
  • Since screen size is smaller (only 3.2 inches) the pop-out keyboard is little cramped.
  • Phone response is not that fast i.e. if you tap a key or launch an application, then it takes pretty sometimes for application to get launch actually.
  • Inbuilt keyboard sensitivity not that good, in the sense that it sometimes recognizes one key tap as two.

Features of Samsung Galaxy Prevail

1] Voice Activated dialing with Speakerphone

This is again a very useful and handy feature. The user can associate any desired number with a specific voice command. In the effect, to dial that particular user or number, you just need to speak the name (or voice command), and the phone automatically dials that number for you.

2] Available from Boostmobile

Boost Mobile has always ranked high on customer contentment survey and service delivery up time, coverage, etc. It’s one of the most reputed networks available in the US.

3] Easy access to regular apps

Quick access to applications such as Google Talk, Gmail, and inbuilt Document Viewer. Practically unlimited Phone books and call record.

4] Access to 250,000 Android apps

Being an Android phone, the user has easy access to over 250,000 paid and free applications available over the web. Choose the one you need.

The price of the device is $180 on contract. Beyond that user has to pay $50 monthly bill for unlimited voice, text and data usage.

The phone stands good for the price it’s available. Since its a smartphone, all the features that are required to be in this category are there, but since the phone is less price wise, the features quality is at a bare minimum (such as 2 MP camera, 3.2-inch display size etc). A must have the phone for the price-conscious community.
