Recently Sony Ericsson came up with a new member in the Xperia family named as ‘Xperia Neo V’. Well, look wise the phone is just like the other Xperia’s its family member. Being one of the phone its contributing it in 2011 line up and first phone to run on Android 2.3.4 out of the box. Or we can also say, first Sony Ericsson phone running on Android 2.3.4 since no other phones have recieved the update yet and soon Xperia PLAY, Arc, neo, pro, mini, mini pro will receive them.
Firstly I compared this phone with its own family member Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo and found same number of similarities and also same number of differences approximately. The Internal Hardware is same which includes 1GHz Scorpion CPU alongside with 512MB of RAM. Neo-V is bundled with 3.7inch screen fixed on a LED-backlit LCD panel and supporting the resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. Well, that’s the same resolution which Xperia Arc has but still on a big screen. In that case Xperia Neo V’s display will look lot more clearer as 3.7inch screen as pixel density will be more on 3.7inch but same like the old Neo.
Xperia Neo V comes with 5mp camera instead of 8mp on Xperia Neo. However the camera department of this phone is just awesome than any other Xperia’s today as the secondary features are something out of this world. It even comes with the secondary camera which features video calling rest it includes touch focus, geo-tagging, face and smile detection. The best feature of the camera is 3D sweep panorama where you can take panorama shots and watch them on your phone (2D) and in 3D when connected with HDTV. Video recording features remains the same as it shoots at 720p with continuous autofocus and video light.
It’s the first phone to run on Android 2.3.4 among the Xperia’s. If you buy this phone, you go lucky as your the first one from Xperia’s to get this before October as all other phones from the Xperia family is getting the update in October.
Its backed up with 1500mAh battery which provides battery backup of 6 h 55 min 2G and Up to 7 h for 3G. Where as it provides 31h for music.
Xperia Neo V is basically the same Xperia Neo with degradation in the camera. Sony Ericsson had some difficulties in manufacturing 8mp camera sensors due to Japan earthquake and that made them to make a completely new model and named it as Neo V. Now Xperia Neo V will completely replace the Xperia Neo henceforth. Due to degradation in camera the price will hopefully fall down.
