The Mobile World Congress stays to its name. Amazing gadgets, innovative technology and exciting new releases. This year, ZTE has plenty of announcements under its belt. Apart from its mobile devices, we shift attention towards its just-announced tablets, the ZTE PF 100, T98, V96 and V9S.
The PF 100 runs on an Nvidia T30S 1.5Ghz quad-core CPU while underlining the words ‘fast’ and ‘smart’ in their characteristics list. The 10.1 inch screen with WXGA resolution gives the user ultimate visual experience and suddenly things start looking BIG and clear. Running on the Android 4.0 operating system, the ZTE PF 100 tablet has got 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB as storage which is just WOW! A 5 MP camera rests on the back of this tablet device to enable the user to shoot pictures/videos etc.
The T98 tablet also comes with an Nvidia T30S 1.5GHz quad-core processor but with a relatively smaller TFT screen of 7 inches with WXGA resolution with multi-touch support. Running on the Android 4.0 version Ice Cream Sandwich, the T98 comes with WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and a dock connector too.
The V96 also comes under the high-end tablet’s bracket, running on a dual-core Qualcomm processor with a speed of 1.7 GHz and sporting a 10.1 inch screen. Being an LTE device, the V96 has got 1 GB of RAM memory and 16 GB as storage allocation. Like the others, it also has a 5 MP camera on its rear side.
And finally, the V9S is also a 10.1 inch tablet but a little less in specifications when compared to the V96. It runs at a speed of 1.2 GHz with again 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage memory. Unfortunately, it runs on the Android 3.2 platform, thus specifying it as a low-end device.
Oh yes, all the above tablets do support a 2 MP front-facing camera for video-calling. ZTE plans to release these devices probably in the second quarter of 2012.
Stay tuned for more info.
