Zynga Separates from Facebook, Launches Zynga.com Separatedly

The maker of the popular online game Farmville, Zynga after getting separated from Facebook launched a standalone website. It’s been named as Zynga.com

Zynga.com promises to offer a better online game-playing environment for gamers. The newly launched website includes a new interface with a live chat function that allows you to chat with zFriends (a group of friends, separate from Facebook friends) without leaving the game and having to look at your Facebook profile.

So, from now onwards, while playing game if you need few extra parts to build something or to progress in the game, you will be able to seek the required help immediately by sending out a request.

In addition, you will have the option to access player profiles in detail. It will show other players’ favorite games, their recent activity, ranking and helpfulness in assisting other players.

It is important to mention here, Zynga is in no mood to end its relationship with Facebook. It will continue to use Facebook Credits because Zynga generates about 90% of its revenue from Facebook games. The move will only help it gain more bargaining power with Facebook (negotiations over revenue share percentage). If Players want they can continue their current games on Facebook too.

When asked Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter said, “I think that plan is to drive Facebook members off the platform just so they can do gaming only there (on Zynga.com) and bring in their non-Facebook friends”.

Zynga’s game audience continues to grow and therefore it is seeking to partner with third-party game developers. This will help game developers build their games and publish them on Zynga. Games currently available are CastleVille, CityVille, Words with Friends, Zynga Poker and Hidden Chronicles. Visit Zynga.com to check more.
