Overview

Any.do is a task and planning app for people who want to keep to-dos, lists, reminders, and calendar planning together. It suits individuals as well as households and teams that need shared workspaces. Its broad free tier is appealing, but the paid plans need careful comparison: Family is capped at four members, while Teams pricing is per member.

Key features

Tasks and daily planning

The free Personal plan includes tasks, lists, a daily planner, a calendar, and device sync, with unlimited personal tasks and lists as well as unlimited subtasks and Grocery Lists. That is a useful starting point for personal organization without a trial deadline or credit-card requirement. Recurring tasks are supported, but they are identified as a Premium feature, so users who depend on repeating tasks should expect to pay.

Reminders and calendar

Any.do supports task reminders and calendar sync. Alerts can be time-based, location-based, or recurring; Premium specifically includes location reminders and WhatsApp reminders. The range is useful for people who need prompts tied to time or place, though those premium options make the free tier less complete for reminder-heavy routines.

Family and team collaboration

Family provides a shared space, groceries, and up to four shared projects for four members, with no additional member cost within that cap. It is a focused household option, not a fit for larger groups. Teams includes collaborative workspaces, unlimited project boards, unlimited team members, and more than 100 workflow templates. Workspace and board admins can control access, permissions, and private boards, giving larger groups a way to govern shared work. Teams users also get 24/7 support from AI agents and the customer support team.

Integrations and access

Any.do works with more than 6,000 apps for work automation. Named integrations include WhatsApp, Gmail, Slack, Zapier, Siri, Jira, Trello, and Google Drive. Apps and extensions are offered for iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, and Gmail; supported platforms also include the web. Offline access is supported on web and mobile. This breadth gives users several ways to reach their tasks, although the number of integrations alone does not establish which particular workflows are covered.

Pricing

Personal: 0.00 USD per free, free forever, with no credit card required. It includes unlimited personal tasks and lists, plus tasks, reminders, calendar, daily planner, device sync, subtasks, and Grocery Lists. It is the sensible choice for individuals whose needs fit those core tools; recurring tasks, WhatsApp reminders, AI-powered features, color tags, and location reminders belong to Premium instead.

Premium: 4.99 USD per month billed annually, or 7.99 USD per month billed monthly. It adds recurring tasks, WhatsApp reminders, AI-powered features, color tags, and location reminders. The monthly option says cancel anytime with no commitments; the annual price is lower per month but is billed annually. Premium plans offer free trial periods before payment.

Family: 8.33 USD per month billed annually, or 9.99 USD per month billed monthly. Both prices cover four members with no additional member cost, and the plan includes a shared space and up to four shared projects. It is a clear household bundle, but groups above four will need another option.

Teams: 4.99 USD per member per month billed annually, or 7.99 USD per member per month billed monthly. Both options include unlimited project boards and members; the plan also includes collaborative workspaces and more than 100 workflow templates. Per-member billing means the total rises with team size. Teams has a full 14-day trial, with invitations for team members during the trial and no hidden charges.

Platforms

Any.do supports web, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and a Chrome extension. Its apps and extensions are also offered for Edge, Firefox, Safari, and Gmail. Offline access is supported on web and mobile, so it can remain useful when a connection is unavailable on those platforms.

Who it's for

Any.do is strongest for individuals who want a capable free task-and-calendar setup, households that can work within a four-person shared plan, and teams that need shared boards with flexible membership and admin controls. It is less suitable for a household larger than four or a team that needs predictable total costs independent of headcount. Any.do says it is trusted by more than 40 million people, families, and teams.

Pros and cons

Pros: The free Personal plan has no end date or credit-card requirement and allows unlimited tasks, subtasks, and Grocery Lists.
Pros: Family pricing covers four members without additional member charges, making the cap and household cost easy to understand.
Pros: Teams combines unlimited members and boards with admin controls for access, permissions, and private boards.
Pros: Multiple reminder types and broad platform support accommodate different devices and planning habits.
Cons: Recurring tasks and location reminders are Premium features, limiting the free plan for users who rely on those capabilities.
Cons: Teams is charged per member, so its total cost grows as a team expands.
Cons: Family is limited to four members, which rules it out for larger households or groups.

Alternatives

For a scheduling-first approach, FlowSavvy offers a free tier with three repeating auto-scheduled tasks, five task lists, and a two-week auto-scheduling range; choose it if those scheduling limits better match your needs.

Ganttic is worth considering when resource planning is the priority: its free plan supports up to 10 resources, unlimited users and projects, Gantt charts, reports, and Kanban boards.

Reclaim AI is another freemium option. Routine, Taskade AI Agents, TickTick, Paymo, and Amazing Marvin are additional alternatives.

Verdict

Choose Any.do if you want a generous free personal planner or need shared planning for a four-person household or a team with flexible membership. Its mix of task, reminder, calendar, and collaboration tools is the main reason to choose it. Look elsewhere if your household exceeds four people, or if per-member Teams billing makes the likely total a poor fit.
