Overview

Claid is an AI suite for making and preparing product and fashion imagery, with a web app and API. It is best for ecommerce teams and marketplaces that process images repeatedly; its range of editing tools and workflow connections make it more compelling for catalog operations than for occasional, single-image edits.

Key features

Claid brings AI Photoshoot and AI fashion models together with background removal and replacement, upscaling, light and color correction, prompt-based editing, product scene templates, and image-to-video. Having these tools in one suite can cover several steps in product-image preparation. The breadth matters most to teams with varied or recurring needs; someone who only needs a background removed may have little reason to adopt the larger toolkit.

Claid says its AI is trained for product photography and aims to retain product details, logos, and branding. That focus is useful for catalog work, where an edit that alters the item can make an image unusable. Batch processing also suits teams handling groups of assets rather than editing each image individually.

The API supports image and video operations, including AI backgrounds, natural-language edits, upscaling, and generative resizing. It can process images from AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage, or a web folder, while Zapier can send generated and edited images to more than 6,000 apps. These options give teams ways to connect image preparation to existing storage and app workflows. The standard API limit of 4 requests per second and 120 per minute may be restrictive for high-volume pipelines; higher limits require a custom plan.

Claid states that it is GDPR and CCPA compliant, encrypts data in transit and at rest, and does not use customer data to train models. SOC 2 is in progress. API self-service includes documentation and standard support; enterprise options add a dedicated integration team.

Pricing

Claid has a free plan at no cost, with 50 credits for any operation, standard tools, and 50 API credits. That is a useful way to start, but the fixed credit allowance limits sustained use.

The Free trial provides 50 credits and 50 API credits. The paid Essentials and Pro plans have custom pricing, with monthly and yearly billing options shown. Essentials includes 250 image upscales, 500 background removals, 125 AI Photoshoots, and one month of history. Pro raises those allowances to 1,000 upscales, 2,000 background removals, and 500 AI Photoshoots, with three months of history. Essentials suits smaller recurring workloads; Pro is better matched to teams needing substantially more monthly image operations and a longer work history.

Self-serve API credits are a one-time purchase with custom pricing. They cover more than 20 standard image and video operations and use the default limit of 4 requests per second and 120 per minute. This suits teams that need API access without the broader business package, provided the default throughput is sufficient.

Business has custom pricing and includes advanced API workflows, custom SLAs and setup, dedicated support and onboarding, and early access to beta tools and research. It is the clearest fit for organizations that need tailored integrations and service commitments; smaller teams may not need that level of support.

Platforms

Claid is available on web and through an API. Batch processing, cloud-storage connections, and Zapier support make it relevant to teams integrating image operations into ecommerce workflows. Its platform choices are less suited to people looking specifically for a mobile app.

Who it's for

Claid is aimed at ecommerce businesses and marketplaces preparing product imagery for digital platforms. It is a strong candidate for teams that need several kinds of image editing, batch work, or API-based processing from connected storage. A casual creator or a team looking for just one narrow editing function may find the suite and its credit plans unnecessary.

Pros and cons

Pros: Product-focused AI is intended to preserve details, logos, and branding, addressing a key concern in catalog edits.
Pros: A broad set of photo and video operations, batch processing, and storage connections can support recurring workflows across multiple preparation steps.
Pros: The free plan includes both general credits and API credits, so users can start with web tools or API operations.
Cons: The free allowance is 50 credits, which limits ongoing use.
Cons: The standard API cap is 4 requests per second and 120 per minute, so busier workflows may need a custom plan.
Cons: Essentials, Pro, self-serve API credits, and Business all have custom pricing, making costs harder to compare before choosing a plan.

Verdict

Claid is a strong fit for ecommerce teams that need product-aware image editing across batches and want storage or API connections to support repeatable work. Its main advantage is the combination of product-focused tools and workflow options; the main reasons to look elsewhere are the capped free credits, standard API throughput, and custom pricing for paid plans.
