Overview

DealerWyze combines lead management, follow-up, inventory and deal jackets with a dedicated BHPH module. That makes it a focused option for independent dealers who want sales activity and in-house loan tracking in the same system, rather than separate tools for each job.

The fit is clearest for small teams: there is no minimum seat count, and the product is built for one-person and small-team lots. It runs on the web, so it suits browser-based work but not teams that require native mobile or desktop apps.

Key features

Lead handling and communication

The Today Dashboard ranks overdue tasks, new leads, appointments and follow-ups by urgency. For a small lot where staff must decide what to tackle next, that prioritization can help keep promising leads from being lost among routine tasks.

DealerWyze imports leads from Gmail, IMAP, AutoTrader, CarGurus, walk-in buyer cards and uploaded screenshots. That range can reduce manual entry when inquiries arrive through different channels. Two-way SMS and email share one inbox, with replies added to the customer thread automatically, keeping the conversation alongside the lead record.

Inventory, BHPH and AI

Dealers can publish inventory on a branded, mobile-friendly website with vehicle detail pages, structured data and lead forms. This gives a lot a way to present its stock and collect inquiries without treating the website as a separate workflow.

The BHPH module tracks in-house loans, payment schedules and collections, and can send automated SMS reminders for overdue payments. That is a meaningful advantage for dealers who manage their own financing; it is less relevant to businesses that do not carry customer loans.

AI tools cover lead scanning from photos or PDFs, daily dealer briefs, receipt OCR, market pricing analysis and an inbound-call voice agent. The feature mix reaches beyond basic CRM follow-up, though the paid plans set explicit monthly allowances for SMS, AI listing videos and voice minutes. Supported tools or integrations include Gmail, AutoTrader, CarGurus, Google Calendar, Google Business, Twilio, Retell AI and Stripe.

Security and communications

DealerWyze says data is encrypted at rest and in transit using AES-256 and TLS 1.3; dealership data is isolated, staff access is role-gated, and admin actions are logged. It describes its SMS and email workflows as TCPA/CAN-SPAM compliant and says SMS opt-out is handled under TCPA requirements. These controls matter for teams handling customer records and outreach, though they do not remove a dealership's responsibility to follow applicable rules.

Pricing

DealerWyze uses a freemium model, with a 30-day trial and paid plans. Plans are month-to-month and cancellable anytime. Customers can export data to CSV before cancellation, and data is purged after a 90-day grace period.

30-Day Trial — free: billed $0/month, with up to 200 contacts and leads, up to 100 vehicles, and full access to all features. It is a useful way to assess the whole workflow, but the contact and vehicle caps make it a temporary evaluation option rather than an uncapped free tier.
Growth — $150.00 USD per month: billed $0/mo during beta, becoming $150/mo after beta ends. It includes unlimited contacts and leads, 3,000 SMS credits/month and 25 AI listing videos/month. This is the natural paid fit for a small dealership that needs ongoing CRM and inventory workflows, but the SMS and video quotas require attention if outreach or listing production is heavy.
Pro — $350.00 USD per month: billed $350/mo. It combines Growth ($150/mo) with the Voice add-on ($200/mo), and includes unlimited contacts and leads, 5,000 SMS credits/month and 3,000 voice minutes/month. Choose it when inbound-call voice capability and its monthly allowance justify the added cost; otherwise Growth avoids paying for the voice add-on.

The pricing page provides support@dealerwyze.com for questions. The trial's full feature access is useful for judging fit before paying, but customers should account for its 30-day duration and the shift from Growth's beta billing to $150/mo afterward.

Platforms

DealerWyze is available on the web. That covers browser-based dealership work, while teams that need Android, iOS or desktop apps should compare platforms that support those environments.

Who it's for

DealerWyze is best suited to independent used-car lots, particularly one-person operations and small teams that need lead capture, follow-up, inventory publishing and BHPH payment tracking together. It is a stronger fit for BHPH dealers than for sellers who do not manage in-house loans. Its trial caps and post-beta price may also make it less suitable for a dealer seeking an ongoing free plan.

Pros and cons

Pros

Dealer-specific workflows in one product: lead management, deal jackets, inventory publishing and BHPH collections address distinct needs of independent lots.
Broad lead capture: imports from email, marketplaces, buyer cards and screenshots can reduce re-entry across varied inquiry sources.
Customer conversations stay together: two-way SMS and email share an inbox, with replies attached to customer threads.
Small-team access: no minimum seat count suits solo dealers as well as small teams.

Cons

Web-only platform: dealerships that need native mobile or desktop apps will need another option.
The free offer is a time-limited trial: 200 contacts and leads and 100 vehicles, with a 30-day term, limit its usefulness as a lasting free plan.
Growth has a defined post-beta cost and quotas: $150/mo after beta, 3,000 SMS credits/month and 25 AI listing videos/month may not suit high-volume use.
Pro's added cost is specifically tied to voice: at $350/mo, it is harder to justify if 3,000 voice minutes/month are not needed.

Alternatives

For a broader shortlist, browse Automotive CRM Software.

Dealer-Mate is worth comparing if a paid dealer-management product with Android, iOS, macOS, web and Windows support fits better; its Cloud Monthly plan is $119.00 USD per month and can be cancelled anytime.
MotorDesk is an alternative for buyers who want a multi-platform dealer system and a lower entry price: Starter is 79.00 GBP per month for five vehicles and one staff/email account, excluding online checkout and deal builder.
Get My Auto CRM is a paid CRM option with a 60-day free trial; its CRM + Ava plan is 695.00 USD per month after the trial.
DealerPilot is another paid alternative with Android, iOS and web support; its Starter plan is 49.00 GBP per month for up to 25 vehicles and two staff accounts.
Autolytix CRM is a paid web and extension alternative with a Starter plan at 40.00 GBP per month for 20 active vehicles and 200 smart document scans/month.
DealerSocket CRM is another paid option, with Android, iOS and web support.
Salesforce Automotive Cloud is worth considering for buyers seeking a paid web and API platform; Automotive Cloud Sales & Service Core is 300.00 USD per month, billed annually.
Tekion ARC CRM is another paid option, with Android, iOS, macOS and web support.

Verdict

DealerWyze is a strong fit for independent and BHPH dealers who want lead follow-up, inventory publishing and in-house payment tracking in one small-team workflow. Its range of lead imports, customer messaging and AI tools adds useful breadth, but the 30-day trial caps, Growth's $150/mo post-beta price and paid-plan quotas deserve a close look. Choose it when those dealership workflows matter more than native apps; look elsewhere if mobile or desktop apps, an uncapped free plan or different usage limits are essential.
