Overview

Fitnito is a class and membership management platform for independent gyms, studios and trainers. It suits small operators who want members to book classes themselves and sell both visit packs and memberships. Its free tier is a practical starting point, but the schedule and staffing caps make it a poor fit for a business that has outgrown a very small timetable.

Key features

Gyms can schedule one-off or weekly classes, set capacity, assign coaches and review bookings on a Monday–Sunday calendar. This brings the core timetable tasks together, though a two-session weekly limit on the free plan leaves little room for a varied programme.

Each gym can have a member booking site where clients book and cancel classes without staff handling every change. Punch-card packs and unlimited memberships cover different ways to sell access, while low-balance tracking helps staff follow up before a member runs out of visits.

The built-in AI assistant can help with setup and handle questions or scheduling and member tasks in plain English. Fitnito also offers an MCP connection for Cursor, Grok, Claude and ChatGPT, which requires gym-owner sign-in and approval. These tools may help with routine administration, but owners should still verify changes to schedules and member records.

Optional Fitnito Payments uses Stripe for recurring billing, visit packs, refunds and payouts to the gym’s bank account. Failed-payment recovery, membership freezes, refunds and flexible billing frequency support common membership operations. Fitnito says Stripe handles and encrypts card details using PCI-compliant tokenized storage. Its privacy policy describes SSL/TLS transmission encryption, encrypted storage, access controls, audits, updates and monitoring; it also says personal information is not sold, while third-party providers may support payments, email, hosting, storage and analytics.

Help guides are available, and support usually replies within a day and always within two to three business days. That is a reasonable stated response window for an independent operator, but not a promise of immediate help during a time-sensitive issue.

Pricing

Plan	Price	What it includes
Starter Plan	Free, billed forever	1 location, 1 program, 1 pass type, up to 5 staff members and 2 weekly recurring sessions
Monthly Plan	34.95 USD per month	Unlimited everything, lower Fitnito Payments fees, premium features and rapid support; 30-day free trial included
Yearly Plan	349.95 USD per year	Unlimited everything, lower Fitnito Payments fees, premium features and rapid support; 30-day free trial included

Starter is best for a single-location operation with one programme, a small staff and no more than two recurring sessions each week. The caps are consequential: a second programme or pass type, a sixth staff member or a larger weekly schedule calls for a paid plan.

Monthly and Yearly remove those stated limits and include premium features, lower payment fees and rapid support. Monthly suits businesses that prefer month-to-month billing; Yearly costs 349.95 USD per year, less than twelve monthly payments at 34.95 USD per month, in exchange for annual billing. Both include a 30-day free trial. No further renewal terms are stated.

Platforms

Fitnito is available on Android, iOS and the web, giving owners and members options across mobile and browser use.

Who it's for

Fitnito targets independent fitness businesses, including gyms, yoga studios, martial arts schools and bootcamps. It is strongest for operators who need class scheduling, member-led booking and straightforward access sales in one platform. A business needing more than the Starter caps will need to budget for a paid plan; the product is less compelling for a small operation that does not need member booking or memberships.

Pros and cons

Pros: Member self-booking and cancellations can reduce routine booking work for staff.
Pros: Punch-card packs, unlimited memberships and low-balance tracking support more than one access model.
Pros: Paid plans combine unlimited everything with lower payment fees and a 30-day trial.
Cons: The free plan is limited to one location, one programme, one pass type, five staff and two weekly recurring sessions.
Cons: Fitnito Payments is optional, so businesses seeking its billing and payout functions must choose to use that integration.
Cons: Support may take up to two to three business days, which may be slow when an issue needs immediate attention.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison of membership billing tools, see Gym Membership Billing Software.

Clubworx is another freemium option with a free plan for up to 20 active members that includes online booking and payment acceptance; it may suit a business whose priority is a member-count-based free tier.

Gym141 offers a free plan for up to 25 active members with a full feature set and MIT-licensed self-hosting, making it worth considering for operators who want to host the software themselves.

Sport School Manager has a School Plan at 89.00 USD per month with unlimited students, priority support, dedicated onboarding and a 90-day free trial. It may suit a school operator seeking onboarding and a longer trial.

Gymdesk has no free plan and offers a paid option at 75.00 USD per month for up to 50 members; consider it if a paid, member-capped plan is a better fit than Fitnito’s free-tier caps and unlimited paid plans.

Revel has a free, MIT-licensed self-hosted option with no platform fees or monthly costs, though infrastructure and Stripe processing are paid separately. It may suit operators who prefer self-hosting and can manage those costs.

BoxBoard offers a free garage-gym plan for up to five members with workout scheduling and tracking features. It may suit a small gym focused on workouts rather than Fitnito’s class bookings and memberships.

FightKit is a paid alternative with a free trial; consider it if you want to compare another paid platform for fitness businesses.

MyStudio is a paid alternative with a free trial and an Essentials plan at 79.00 USD per month that includes unlimited students, a built-in website and member app, rank and belt tracking, online sales and payments, and class scheduling. It may suit businesses that need those specific capabilities.

Verdict

Fitnito is a strong match for an independent gym or studio that wants member-led class booking, passes and memberships alongside a simple schedule. The free plan can support a very small operation, while paid plans remove the stated limits and add lower Fitnito Payments fees. Look elsewhere if the free caps are too restrictive and the paid price does not fit, or if your business needs capabilities beyond the fitness-class and membership workflow.
