Overview

OPPI models venue trading history alongside weather, local events, road traffic and calendars, recalculating demand every 15 minutes. It covers sales, covers or orders, inventory and staffing forecasts, with real-time data inputs and support for multiple locations. The combination is useful for operators who need forecasts to inform day-to-day decisions, rather than a standalone demand report.

Beyond forecasting, OPPI supports labour planning, inventory and reordering, task management, compliance, and venue SOPs and checklists. It proposes actions for approval and says connected systems will not change without user approval. That keeps consequential decisions with staff, but makes OPPI an assisted operations tool rather than a hands-off automation layer.

Key features

Frequent, context-aware forecasts

Recalculating every 15 minutes against local conditions may help venues respond when expected demand shifts during trading. Forecasts span sales, covers or orders, inventory and staffing, giving operators several planning inputs in one platform. How much value that creates depends on whether a venue's current integrations can supply the relevant data.

Operational workflows with approval controls

Labour planning, reordering, task management, compliance and checklists extend the product beyond prediction. Requiring approval before connected systems change is sensible where a forecast could affect staffing or stock, though it also requires a person to review and authorize proposed actions.

Connections and data handling

Connected integrations include Square, Lightspeed Restaurant K-Series, Deputy, Tanda timesheets, Google Drive, Notion and OPPI Tether. Toast, Clover and TouchBistro are in build; accounting integrations are designed but not shipped, and Tanda roster and staff sync remain in build. These gaps matter for venues that expect the platform to coordinate a complete technology stack.

OPPI states that data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.3, and that venue data is logically isolated. Its primary database is hosted on AWS in Singapore, while application hosting and AI processing may involve additional regions. AI tasks may go to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Perplexity under data processing agreements; the maker says venue data is not used to train their models. Requested deletion, including backups, is completed within 30 days. GDPR and APP compliance are stated; ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II are planned.

Pricing

Early access: Free. The plan has no payment or contract, and public release is pending. That makes it a no-cost way to consider OPPI while it is in beta, but the product is not yet at general public release. OPPI is freemium, with a free plan; one venue is enough to get started. No seat, forecast or usage quota is stated for this plan.

Platforms

OPPI supports web and API. It is described as still in beta, with a waitlist and design partner applications. Onboarding is self-serve, with setup help available on request; venues needing a fully available product or committed onboarding should factor that status into their choice.

Who it's for

OPPI is aimed at hospitality venues that want to connect demand planning with labour, inventory, compliance and service procedures. Its multi-location support may suit operators overseeing more than one venue, while the maker says a single venue is enough to begin. It is a better fit for teams comfortable with beta software and approval-based workflows than for operators who need complete integrations or autonomous execution now.

Pros and cons

Pro: Forecasts combine trading history with weather, events, traffic and calendars, and refresh every 15 minutes, giving operators timely inputs for several planning areas.
Pro: Forecasts sit alongside labour, inventory, task and compliance workflows, which can reduce the gap between planning and venue operations.
Pro: Connected-system changes require approval, preserving operator control over proposed actions.
Con: The product is still in beta, with a waitlist and design partner applications, so it is not a straightforward choice for venues seeking a generally released platform.
Con: Accounting integrations are not shipped, and several named connections or sync capabilities are still in build, limiting its reach across a venue's systems.
Con: Application hosting and AI processing may use regions beyond Singapore, a consideration for venues with strict data-location requirements.

Alternatives

Pourcast Operations is worth considering for venue search and market discovery, including a free tier with AI Analyst capped at 10 per month; OPPI is more directly centered on connecting forecasts to venue operations.
Vaansa is an option for operators seeking POS, kitchen display, reservations and rooms across Android, web and Windows, rather than OPPI's forecasting-led operational workflow.
Lineup.ai offers a Forecasts Only plan at 79.00 USD per month, billed $79/loc/month, with unlimited users and employees, automated forecasts, a custom labor allowance budget and integrations. It may fit teams prioritizing forecasting and labor budgets over OPPI's broader workflow scope.
MarginKitchen has a Single Location plan at 119.00 USD per month, billed $1,428 billed annually, with a 14-day access period and one included user. Its Daily Profit Brief, demand forecast and smart prep planner make it an option for single-site operators focused on profit and preparation tools.
Meuze is an alternative for readers comparing hospitality software with a paid monthly Starter plan.
Maya by Inputly offers Gold plans at 199.00 USD per month for coaching or salon use, making it a different option for those seeking customer-interaction tools rather than venue operations.
Foodcast offers a Basic plan at 49.00 EUR per month, with the first month free, up to 50 people, one user seat, AI sales forecasts and POS integration. It may suit a smaller team primarily seeking sales forecasting.
PreciTaste Demand Forecasting is another option for readers comparing demand-forecasting products.

Verdict

OPPI is best for hospitality operators who want frequent, context-aware forecasts tied to staffing, inventory and venue procedures, while keeping final approval over system changes. Its free Early access plan lowers the cost of exploring that approach, but beta availability and unfinished integrations are substantial caveats. Choose OPPI if those trade-offs suit your venue; look elsewhere if you need a fully connected, generally released system today.
