Overview

Sendiee Teambox is a shared inbox for customer support and sales teams handling conversations across messaging channels. It is best suited to teams that need shared ownership, routing and role controls; the main trade-off is that channel and team capacity varies considerably by plan.

By bringing supported channels into one queue and grouping a customer’s messages across them, Teambox can give agents a more continuous view of a conversation. Its free plan is tightly capped, while annual paid plans offer different mixes of channels, contacts, users and conversation volume.

Key features

Conversation handling and routing

Teambox brings WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and LINE conversations into a shared queue, with cross-channel messages from one customer appearing in a single thread. That can reduce channel switching for teams supporting customers in several places. Condition-based routing and manual assignment cover automated and agent-led triage; AI handover routes a request for a person to a team, assigns an agent in rotation and provides a summary.

Admin, Manager, Team Lead and Agent roles support role-based conversation visibility and team management. Per-chat AI controls, live manager instructions, translation, summaries and quick replies give teams several ways to assist agents, though the value depends on whether they want AI embedded in conversation work.

Inbox oversight and apps

Advanced filters, custom statuses and assignment history help teams track work beyond the initial routing decision. Team and agent insights cover volume, response time and resolution, which gives managers operational measures to review. Web, macOS, Windows, iPhone, iPad and Android apps include push notifications and mobile biometric locks, useful for agents who need alerts away from a desk.

The pricing feature matrix includes Shopify, Zoho and Meta Pixel (CAPI) on Pro and Business, with custom integrations on Enterprise. The shared inbox is included in Pro, Business, Creator Lite, Creator Plus and Enterprise; the apps are free downloads. Priority support is included in Pro, Business, Creator Plus and Enterprise, while an account manager is included in Business and Enterprise.

Pricing

Teambox has a free plan, a 14-day trial and annual paid plans. The paid prices below are stated per year; the entry’s general pricing note also describes paid plans as starting at $12/mo (annual).

Plan	Price and capacity	What it suits
Free	Free; 1 channel, 1 AI assistant, 1,000 contacts, 1,000 conversations/month and 1 team member.	A solo user can try a single-channel workflow, but the one-person cap rules it out for a working team.
Creator Lite	22.00 USD per year, billed annually; Instagram and Messenger, no WhatsApp, 30,000 contacts, 2 users and shared team inbox.	A small Instagram- and Messenger-focused operation can get a shared inbox, but this plan does not cover WhatsApp.
Creator Plus	29.00 USD per year, billed annually; Instagram and Messenger, no WhatsApp, 80,000 contacts, 5 users, 10 agents, 3 teams and shared inbox.	It adds contact and team capacity over Creator Lite, but retains the same channel restriction.
Growth	30.00 USD per year, billed annually; 1 channel, 5,000 contacts, 10,000 conversations/month and 5 team members.	A small team with modest single-channel volume may fit, but it has no shared inbox in the plan details.
Pro	52.00 USD per year, billed annually; 2 channels, 30,000 contacts, 1 Lakh conversations/month, 10 users, 5 agents and shared inbox.	For teams needing a shared inbox and more than one channel; its 5-agent and 1-team limits may constrain broader operations.
Business	67.00 USD per year, billed annually; 3 channels, 80,000 contacts, 10 Lakh conversations/month, 20 users, 10 agents, 3 teams and shared inbox.	Better aligned with larger teams that need more channel, agent and team capacity than Pro.
Enterprise	Custom pricing; custom channels, tools, contact limits, campaigns, conversations, integrations and SLA.	For organizations that need tailored limits or integrations.

Pro and Business include 10 and 20 team members respectively, alongside separate agent and team caps. Those distinctions matter when sizing a workspace: user, agent and team allowances are not interchangeable. Creator plans allow Instagram and Messenger but exclude WhatsApp, while Growth is limited to one channel. Check that a plan’s channel and volume allowances match the actual workload before choosing it.

Platforms

Teambox is available on Android, iOS, macOS, web and Windows. Free mobile and desktop app downloads, push notifications and biometric locks make it practical for teams mixing desk-based and mobile work.

Who it's for

Teambox fits support and sales teams that handle customer conversations across multiple social or messaging channels and need shared assignment, routing and manager oversight. Its strongest fit is a team willing to choose a plan around explicit channel and capacity limits. A solo user can start with Free, but the one-member cap makes it a preview rather than a team operating plan; teams requiring WhatsApp should avoid Creator Lite and Creator Plus.

Sendiee states that it encrypts data at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.2+. It offers a SOC 2 Type II report under NDA, while its policy says Type I was attested in 2025. These controls may matter to buyers evaluating security requirements, though enterprise procurement should confirm its own compliance needs.

Pros and cons

Pros: Cross-channel customer threads and several routing modes give teams a shared workflow instead of isolated channel queues.
Pros: Role-based visibility, assignment history and team/agent insights give managers tools to organize ownership and review response and resolution measures.
Pros: Web, desktop and mobile apps support distributed work, with push notifications and biometric locks on the apps.
Cons: Free allows only one team member, one channel and 1,000 conversations per month, so it cannot support a multi-agent team.
Cons: Creator Lite and Creator Plus exclude WhatsApp, and Growth allows only one channel; buyers must match channel needs to plan before settling on a tier.
Cons: Pro and Business impose distinct member, agent and team caps, which can make a nominally larger user allowance insufficient for a particular support structure.

Alternatives

Mixdesk is worth comparing if a free plan’s 10 conversations, 10 connected channel accounts and 100 translation characters are enough to start, or if its Essential plan at 49.00 USD per month better matches the budget and usage model.

Soclo suits readers focused on publishing: its free plan has 0 credits each month but allows accounts to be connected and content published manually, while Starter is 7.99 USD per month.

Desku AI Chatbot Builder is another freemium option to consider.

AmmarAI Smart Inbox is another freemium option to consider.

Upcellia may suit a very small team testing a limited free mailbox: its free plan allows one channel, one user, one mailbox and 100 conversations per month, with no AI agents or automations.

Respond.io is a paid alternative with no free plan; its Starter plan is 79.00 USD per month and includes five users, unlimited monthly active contacts and 5,000 AI credits.

Chattrik Omni Channel is a paid alternative with a Starter plan at 14.99 USD per month per seat and an omnichannel inbox.

Deskero offers a free Start plan with one agent and unlimited customers, which may appeal to a solo agent looking for a different support platform.

Verdict

Choose Sendiee Teambox if your support or sales team needs cross-channel customer threads, flexible routing and role-based oversight in one inbox. Its main advantage is the combination of conversation handling and team controls across mobile and desktop apps; its main drawback is that the inexpensive entry tiers are sharply limited by channel, member or volume caps. Look elsewhere if those restrictions do not fit your workload or if you need a different product focus.
