For a free AI music workflow, the key question is whether the track can be downloaded and what rights apply to that specific plan and creation. Suno, Loudly, Mureka, Song.do, Musicful, Aimi, SongGPT, YES Music, Resonant, AirMusic, and SongUp AI each offer some form of free access; the evidence for free downloads and commercial use varies, so check the vendor’s current terms before publishing or delivering a track.

Ranked Picks For Free Creation And Downloading
1. Suno
Suno is the clearest starting point when you want to draft a complete song and then decide whether the paid rights terms are worth pursuing. For a video intro or prototype, write a prompt that specifies the mood, tempo feel, vocal or instrumental direction, and approximate structure you want; treat the result as a draft until you have confirmed the terms attached to that exact track. Suno supports song editing, remixing, extensions, section replacement, and stem export, but stem separation is not included in the Free Plan. Suno is available on web, iOS, and Android. Visit Suno.
2. Loudly
Loudly is a useful fit when short free previews are enough to audition a cue before choosing a plan. Its toolkit covers generation, remixing, mastering, and distribution, and the product page advertises downloads of WAV, MP3, stems, and samples. For a creator handoff, identify the intended use and check the licensing terms for the plan before selecting a file; the 30-second free-track limit may not suit a longer piece. Loudly runs through the web rather than native desktop software. Visit Loudly.
3. Mureka
Mureka is aimed at a more involved music workflow, with song generation, editing, remixing, extensions, vocal generation, and audio or MIDI export. A practical draft prompt can describe a scene, mood, instrumentation, and section changes, then use editing tools to shape the arrangement. The site’s commercial-rights language is broad, but the supplied terms do not establish whether every free-tier creation receives those rights; verify the plan and track terms before using a result in a client project. Visit Mureka.

Musicful suits creators who want to revise vocal songs and work from text, lyrics, ideas, or uploaded audio. A useful workflow is to develop a lyric or musical idea, revise it, and compare the vocal and instrumental stems where available. Keep free/basic output to non-commercial use; the stated commercial-use access is on Standard and Pro plans. If you use uploaded audio or lyrics, make sure you have permission to use that material. Musicful offers web and mobile apps. Visit Musicful.
5. Aimi
Aimi is a strong match when the deliverable is an editable session rather than a finished audio file. Its studio combines multitrack sessions, stems, effects, arrangements, manual editing, MIDI, uploads, mixing, and lyric writing. For a game prototype or interactive demo, build and export a session, then check whether any sample-library material or uploaded content carries restrictions for the intended release. That makes it a candidate for shaping a rough audio idea into a more complete cue; for example, start from an upload and use an extension or remix workflow, then choose an export format. Its commercial license is associated with paid plans, so do not assume a free-credit draft is cleared for ads, client work, or other commercial use. It works on web, iOS, and Android. Visit SongGPT.

AI generation and voice conversion rely on optional local providers, and local AI features require suitable hardware. Check the provider and model terms as well as Resonant’s terms for the exact workflow, especially if you use voices or samples; the project’s commercial-use statement does not establish the rights for third-party inputs. Visit Resonant.
9. SongUp AI
SongUp AI accepts text, lyrics, humming, whistling, or sung melodies as starting points and includes vocals, instruments, stems, mastering, auto-tune, and audio-to-MIDI. For a personal prototype, a hummed melody can be a direct starting point; keep in mind that the Free plan is limited to library-matched songs and personal use, while exact-prompt song creation and commercial rights start with Pro. Get permission for any uploaded or performed material you do not own. SongUp AI is web-only. Visit SongUp AI.

Check These Terms Before You Publish
- Match the right to the plan and track. A platform’s general commercial-use statement does not establish that a free-tier result has the same permissions. Check the terms for the account plan and the specific creation.
- Check your export route. A downloadable file does not by itself establish permission to publish or monetize it. Confirm the format and download allowance for your plan before building a delivery workflow around it.
- Get consent for voices and source material. When using voice cloning, covers, uploaded audio, lyrics, or samples, confirm that you have permission for the input and follow the platform’s terms. The evidence here does not establish rights for a particular third-party recording, voice, or sample.
- Verify unsupported specifics. These listings do not establish that any particular genre, language, distribution service, or use case is supported by every tool. Check the vendor’s site for those details and for current plan terms before relying on them.
