- Generate and listen critically. Review the complete output for recognizable lyrics, melodies, vocal identity, or samples that you did not intend to use. If something sounds tied to a specific song or person, do not publish that version; revise the brief and generate a different composition.
- Keep the project trail. Save the prompt, output, any human edits, export, and the licensing terms you checked. If you use stems or edit sections, preserve the source and edited versions so you can explain what you created.
- Check the delivery format and platform rules. Export availability differs by tool and plan. Handle Voices, Covers, And Uploaded Audio Carefully
A generated voice that resembles an identifiable performer can create a separate permission problem even when the lyrics and backing track are new. Spotify says vocal impersonation is allowed only when the impersonated artist has authorized it. Get consent before using a person’s voice or likeness, and check each tool’s and platform’s terms. Do not treat a cover, lyric rewrite, remix, or uploaded reference as cleared simply because an AI tool can generate or transform it. YouTube renamed its repetitious-content monetization rule to the inauthentic-content policy in July 2025; the policy targets mass-produced, repetitive, or template-based uploads rather than AI use by itself.
