Make complextro by generating a short instrumental idea, then forcing contrast: syncopated bass, bright synthetic hooks, chopped fills, and frequent section changes. Use an AI tool for sketches, export the parts that your plan allows, and finish the arrangement in a DAW or the tool’s multitrack editor. The workflow below keeps the genre’s dense, stop-start character under control.
What A Complextro Track Needs
- A clear drop motif: Write one two- or four-bar bass-and-lead phrase that can survive repeated edits.
- Contrasting sound blocks: Alternate a tight, sparse groove with a dense drop containing layered basses, bright leads, and short fills.
- Syncopation and edits: Use offbeat bass notes, stutters, reverses, fills, and brief mutes to create movement.
- Readable low end: Keep the sub pattern simple while the mid-bass provides most of the rhythmic detail.
- A practical tempo target: Start around 128–140 BPM, then change it only when the groove demands it.
Pick The Right AI Workspace
These tools support different parts of the workflow. Their listings do not establish dedicated complextro models, so enter your own genre description and check each vendor’s current output and terms.

| Eleven Music | Generate and revise sections, transitions, and references | Supports section editing, inpainting, genre transitions, audio references, stems, and MP3/WAV exports | Free is personal use; commercial rights vary by plan and exclude film, TV, and studio games |
| Suno | Sketch a full drop with vocals or instrumental parts | Generates songs, supports remixing, extensions, section replacement, and stem export; available on web, iOS, and Android | Free has no commercial rights or stem separation; Pro limits downloads to 20 songs per month |
| Mureka | Move from AI idea to multitrack editing | Generates from text, lyrics, styles, or reference audio; supports extensions, remixing, multitrack editing, stem separation, and audio/MIDI export | Studio access is reserved for Premier; up to 12-stem splitting is Premier-only |
| Udio | Iterate on prompt-led riffs and vocal phrasing | Generates vocal or instrumental songs from text and lyrics; supports lyric edits, extensions, transformations, and timeline work in Sessions | Audio, video, and stem downloads are disabled during its stated transition period |
| InsMelo AI Beat Maker | Make a quick mobile beat sketch with tempo controls | Provides genre, BPM, mood, and structure controls; exports MP3, WAV, MIDI, and separate stems | Free is limited to 3.9 credits; commercial rights depend on subscription or license terms |
Step 1: Write A Complextro Brief
Before generating, specify the musical constraints that make the result useful. Include the tempo range, section lengths, sound roles, and edit density. For example:
“Instrumental complextro sketch at 132 BPM. Eight-bar intro, eight-bar tension build, eight-bar drop, four-bar reset, then a second drop. Use a clean four-on-the-floor kick, a simple sub-bass root pattern, syncopated mid-bass stabs, a bright supersaw lead, short glitch fills at bar ends, and a one-beat mute before each drop. Keep the bass motif to four bars and leave space between kick and sub.”

Do not ask for every sound at once if the result is muddy. Generate the groove first, then add the lead and fills in separate passes where the tool supports editing or multitrack work.
Step 2: Generate The First Groove
Use Beat Shaper For An Editable Rhythm
- Open Beat Shaper and set the genre, energy, and syncopation controls toward an aggressive electronic sketch.
- Generate drums, a bassline, and a short synth motif rather than a long finished song.
- Inspect the piano roll. Shorten bass notes that overlap the kick, move selected hits off the grid, and keep the sub pattern simpler than the mid-bass.
- Export MIDI or stems when your plan allows it, then continue arrangement work in your DAW. Check the current plan because Starter exports are limited to MP3 and non-commercial use.
Use Soundverse Or InsMelo For A Fast Sketch
- In Soundverse AI Beat Maker or InsMelo AI Beat Maker, describe the same groove with explicit BPM, mood, and structure instructions.
- Generate several short versions and keep the one with the clearest kick, sub, and mid-bass separation.
- Export MIDI or stems where available, label each part, and reserve the most complex edits for the mid-bass and fills.
- Track token or credit use. Soundverse lists 1,000 free signup tokens, while InsMelo lists 3.9 Free-plan credits.
Step 3: Build The Drop In Layers
- Keep the kick and sub pattern nearly unchanged for four bars so the listener can follow the groove.
- Replace or vary the mid-bass every one or two bars with a different rhythm, filter movement, or short silence.
- Use a lead phrase with a small number of notes, then create interest through octave changes, call-and-response, and chopped endings.
- Add one fill at the end of each four-bar phrase. Alternate stutters, reverses, pitch drops, and drum cuts instead of stacking all of them together.
- Mute the full mix for a fraction of a bar before the drop, then return with the main motif.
Step 4: Revise Sections With AI Editing
Eleven Music For Targeted Rewrites
Use Eleven Music when the drop has the right idea but a weak transition. Generate an instrumental, then use section editing or inpainting to replace only the bar group that lacks impact. Try a prompt such as “Replace the final two bars with a clipped syncopated mid-bass fill, leave the kick and sub unchanged, and make the next section enter with the four-bar lead motif.” Genre transitions and audio references are listed features, but the listing does not promise a complextro-specific mode.

Mureka For Multitrack Cleanup
In Mureka, use an extension or remix to create a second drop, then edit the multitrack parts. Export audio or MIDI when your plan supports it. If you need Studio or up to 12-stem splitting, check whether your account is on Premier.
Suno For Arrangement Sketches
Suno is useful for quickly comparing complete drop arrangements. Ask for an instrumental complextro section with the same four-bar motif, then use remixing, extensions, or section replacement to test alternate builds. The Free Plan does not include commercial rights or stem separation, so verify your plan before publishing or separating parts.

Udio For Prompt And Lyric Experiments
Use Udio to iterate on a riff, vocal phrase, or transformation in Sessions. Its listing says downloads are disabled during the transition period, so treat it as a reference and arrangement aid until the vendor confirms export availability.
Step 5: Arrange The Full Track
- Place the strongest four-bar drop motif after an eight-bar introduction or tension section.
- Use the reset section to remove the mid-bass and let the lead or drums establish the next variation.
- Make the second drop different in one controlled way: change the bass rhythm, add a response lead, or shorten the fill cycle.
- Leave headroom for final mixing. Check the sub in mono, lower layers that mask the kick, and remove fills that make the main motif hard to identify.
Step 6: Export And Check Rights
- Export stems or MIDI only when the selected plan lists those formats. If a format or license is not stated for your plan, check the vendor’s current terms before relying on it.
- Use only vocals, voice references, and uploaded audio that you created or are authorized to use. Voice cloning, covers, and reference uploads can involve consent requirements under each platform’s rules.
- Commercial use differs by tool and plan: Beat Shaper Creator lists commercial usage rights, Soundverse Creator & Pro list commercial licenses, and several free plans are personal-use or non-commercial. Confirm the exact terms for the account that generated the final files.
- Keep a project note with prompts, source audio permissions, plan name, export date, and the final stem or MIDI files.

Drums: tight four-on-the-floor kick, syncopated percussion, short fills at phrase ends. Bass: simple sub following the roots, detailed mid-bass stabs with rests.
